ASP Triad CR, Tactical Duty Flashlight, Bright Cree XPG2 LED, 2 CR123A Lithium Batteries, 470 Lumens

i got this flashlight for my work, and it is amazing how bright the single LED is, pretty much well light a small dark room. the brightness is so high its like sun light, and why its nicknamed at my work the second sun.

Like I said we've got two of these in addition to an assortment of regular and LED lights. These we have primarily for tactical situations and we trust them to work well. They will light up a room with ease, defiantly bright enough to make any person see spots and not have clear vision if caught in It's gaze. Compact, durable and uses high energy photo cell battery for power. I'm a fan of this light and would have given it 5 stars if it had another bell or whistle. Honestly I think that people expect more from these types of torches then they deliver. These are so much better then some of the others that I've bought. I'm happy with mine and I think that you will be too.

The Good:High quality components. Size and weight is nice. USB interface for charging is a good idea. The light is very bright.The Bad:No focus adjustment.It's spot focus only. There is really only one setting for the light and that's bright. No low, no blink. There is technically another setting; one setting turns the light on constant and the other setting turns the light on only when you press the button (the latter setting, in my opinion, is useless.Takes a long time to charge.I don't think I would buy it again because of the shortcomings.

ASP MAKES GARBAGE PRODUCTS!!!!!!!!!My police dept. purchsed these as a christmas gift for officers. As a midnight officer a flashlight is a life or death needed reliable product. This product has stopped working twice on traffic stops, one of our most dangerous job tasks. Approximatley after 3 charges the first flashlight stopped working. Worked fine before the charge. Stopped working after the charge. It was 2 weeks old. After calling and emailing ASP, they basically blew me off. I heard nothing back from them after nearly a month. Luckily our local uniform shop replaced and would handle the defective model through their local representitive. Now about a month into the second flashlight it stopped working. Worked fine one day, now it won't turn on again. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. ASP has terrible customer service and will not warrant their product. Heck, they don't even tell you no, they just ignore you. Go buy a Streamlight, they are much more durable.

Ordered 2 , one did not work out of the box, and the other died after 2 charge cycles. There is a switch and bulb contact problem. Electronic circuitry is defective, and the ASP Co has not responded to warranty queries. Poor customer servive. Do not buy this product.

Used mine in the navy in salt and the roughest conditions. I have no idea and people don't like this I've dropped mine many many times and from as high as about 20 feet and it's seven years old now still going strong.
