Excellent Solution For A Difficult Space
I’m glad I bought this, even though the installation instructions are worthless. Fortunately the parts are easy to figure out. There was more than enough heavy duty cord. I had to cut off quite a bit, and the extra cord can be used for other projects. There is a piece included that is not shown in a diagram, or even mentioned in the written instructions, but I finally figured it out. Basically you will have to figure it out. The instructions will not help. The diagram does not show how to use the part that cinches together the two loose ends. Each end goes in one side, facing each other. Both ends are then twisted in a little ratchet device that closes the “loop” and tightens the cord. This is very sturdy, and I’m thrilled with the quality.

Excellent quality made with durable parts.
I love my new Strata clothesline! We mounted one pulley at the edge of our deck on a post that we installed. The other pulley is mounted high up the trunk of a large tree at the edge of the woods. The clothesline stretches across our yard a little over 60 feet and is ten feet off the ground. I only have to take a few steps out the back door to hang the clothes and because it is so high off of the ground it is out of the way. I purchased two more spacers to go along with the one that came with the kit. Start with placing one spacer on the lines before you start hanging and the one every ten feet or so to keep the line from sagging. You will need to tighten the line with the winch tightener after the first few uses as the line will stretch a bit when first set up. The kit comes with 150 feet of wire so you could go longer then the sixty feet that we did. I am so happy with the whole set up, it is almost fun doing the laundry!

Trend setter
I put this up when I moved in with my gf. Nobody else in the neighborhood had a clothesline until I put ours up and then nearly every neighbor came over to as where I got it. Now almost the entire neighborhood had nice, new clotheslines.

Great idea having it all in one box
Great setup that is easy to install despite the horrible instructions. Since I am a do it yourself kind of person, I had to figure it out on my own and it took some trial and error. The orientation of the pulleys isn't at all clear but I hung them with the hole in the housing toward the ground and guessed it is maybe a hole where one could hang a bag of clothes pins. The device provided to hold the cables together doesn't work very well and there is no real explanation regarding the proper installation. As a result, I had to try using variations and I'm still not sure it's right because it still pops off. It is definitely worth keeping it on in because it prevents the line from drooping too much when you have the line full of clothes. UPDATE: This is my second clothes line from Strata. It's been at least five years since buying the first and it has held up well with one exception. However, I made a mistake on the initial installation. One end I attached to a large maple tree. In the years since it has worked fine until now when I learned the tree had absorbed the entire hook and part of the wheel mechanism. It is buried and there was no way to get it out but when I tried I broke the frame part that holds the wheel. It's why I had to buy another. This time I made a wooden plaque to screw into the tree then I installed the wheel mechanism so the absorption can be avoided. Still, it will require closer examination from time to time. Finally the line separator is shoddy. The brittle plastic wheels broke after the first year. Amazon has some more sturdy plastic separators that are great and it comes in pairs just in case and they're cheap.

Life changing!
This was so easy to put up and it works so well! Absolutely love it. We can get 3 LARGE loads of laundry on it. Definitely recommend getting more tension rods for it though, 1 wasn't enough. Very lightweight, yet it holds a TON! But it works easy, very weather resistant and just as they advertise. It has saved me a ton of time and money since giving up our clothes dryer. You need one of these in your life if you use a clothesline!

Hanging clothes on this line for over a year with no issues
It's funny the little things that make me so happy. This clothesline is one of them. The line is super long and sturdy. It holds three loads of laundry, while the spacer/separator keeps the laundry from dragging the ground. The pulleys are sturdy. Overall this was easy to light weight but sturdy and easy to install. This is not a retractable clothesline, but one that stretched between two different stable posts or trees. The tension is easy to adjust with the key that is provided. I chose to keep the line long (rather than cutting it to length), using the key to tighten the tension. This way I have the flexibility of changing locations without worrying about the line length. Since I received this clothesline, it has been used 6 out of 7 days of the week with no issues.

May need to purchase stronger support brackets
Love my cloths line however two days after installation both hooks that hold the pulleys bent and line fell to ground! Husband purchased carabiner for both sides and closed loop screw hook now it’s very secure and holds tight; we live in mountains with heavy winds and storms in spring and fall so it broke after first windy day of gust 22-25mph steady winds at 7. Defiantly helps with electricity bill; and saves time do recommend but be prepared for possibility of bending.

Strong cable
Ran my clothesline between two trees approximately 45 feet, have hung multiple loads of jeans ,towels and king size quilts and has been excellent so far,I always used cotton line before but this works well. I use the metal cloths pins now the wooden ones seem to be too big and dont clamp on tight ,would buy again

Like: The wheels work well, as does the tension windup. Plenty of line. Dislike: the line spacer does not function well. It gets stuck on clothes and has to be removed.
