1st one that landed was defective and did not blow cold air. Amazon service did a great job sending a replacement quick. 2 years in and maybe only 3 months of total use and this unit sounds like its on it's last leg. Has a heavy buzzing sound and you can hear it throughout the house.....

My elderly parents purchased this a couple years ago to stay cool when their other air conditioner didn't fit their condo housing. It did fine until this year - had a lot of trouble with FL function, draining is a pain especially for my disabled mom, and the damn thing doesn't even throw out cold air anymore. It's a very short term, cheap option as a temporary fix. Not something I would recommend, especially for older adults.

Been using this unit for heat and AC in my room over the garage. It has been the best solution for uneven temperatures and saves a bunch on my gas bill each winter. Great unit and very good price.

Overall the unit works and does what it suppose to do however...... The only issue(s) I have(which few may not mind), the unit does not have an automatic feature where you can set a certain temperature and it turn on or off accordingly. Another minor issue: the air doesn't blows straight up but rather at an angle(almost 45 degrees to the right), so you will have to plan accordingly if you plan to use fans. I wish it had an adjustable damper to give more control in direction. I use it in my garage where It's insulated and on a good summer day it stays 15-25 degrees below outside temp(that's with fan and door that leads into the garage open, NOT THE GARAGE DOOR). And I live in South Carolina where it get up to 100 degrees. Overall Fairly decent unit other than the minor issues............ UPDATE!!!!! It's Fall here in SC so Im now using the Heat mode. It doesnt disappoint. In the mornings I turn the Heat mode on before I take a shower(Temp usually around 55 degrees in the garage) so after I can go in there to iron and get dress for work without disturbing anyone sleeping. It will take about 20-30 mins to raise temp 15degrees+.. I do have my Garage door and attic(above garage) insulated so it does help. I also found having an oscillating fan blowing in the corner will definitely decrease the amount of time it takes to rise..... So Far its been doing the job, only advice is you have to find out what works best for you and your living space.

It doesn't perform the continuous drain, when I called the rep. Didn't even know the feature. He just wanted me to ship it back ( it's very heavy and there was no way I could return it by myself. He never offered to get the unite picked up). You will have to dump the tank (I can't do it myself). Otherwise it's OK

I plugged it in, left the room, 10 minutes later the device was off and it's been unresponsive ever since

Completely useless device.. will not produce cold air, even with the compressor sound going.. the heat function is not doing anything.. so frustrating!

Kicks on, puts out no cold air. After a year of use. Useless brand.
