Wolo 808-C Universal Replacement for Air Horn Compressor, 12 Volt

I bought this for a air horn I had and hooked it to my scooter ,it does a good job ,but the horn is not as loud as it can be if it had more pressure ,but it does a very good job ..

I ordered this for my husbands work truck so he could hook up his air horns and it only lasted a month now all it does is buzz but no air comes out

The manufacturer no longer had a replacement of the original air pump for the air horns on my my boat. The pump they now had was very expensive. I went to Amazon and looked for a replacement unit I could use. I was surprised to find this unit, which looked to be very close to resembling the original unit and was very reasonably priced. The first unit they sent me was badly damaged in shipping. I contacted Amazon and they promptly had another unit sent. That one was received in good condition and has functioned well. I would recommend this supplier and would do business with them again.

I was buying cheap 12V compressors every year it seemed like. (Yeah, I honk the horn a lot....) So, when I saw that this one was "High Compression" I bought TWO! It was OK. Nothing special. Got a new vehicle so the old one (and its horn) didn't get used much. Found a use for it so I started driving again and the horn compressor was weak. No prob. I have one on the shelf! Put it in and it didn't even honk the horn. Tested the horn, replace the hose, and nothing. Bought a CHEAP compressor that would arrive the next morning and it works great. The point is, these compressors seem to have a lifespan of about 2 years whether they get used or not..... Definitely not high compression Pretty disappointed....

Tested output pressure at 13-14 up to 15psi. Standard wolo pumps I have put out 15-17psi. Volume seems about the same no noticeable improvement over stock pump. I run 3 compressors on a 7 horn combo through an 100amp solenoid. Have owned wolo products for years. One tip I would offer is 1-2 times per year I put some ATF fluid (or air tool oil) in compressor intake port and run them for a few seconds. This refreshes and brings them back to life. Had high hopes for this pump bumping up psi on the big horn as a couple pounds can make huge difference on these low pressure horns. Do not have room on my car for a tank system let alone the k5la chimes I dream of. Sad face.

To not get good performance from this compressor can only mean it must not have been wired up properly (proper relay, gauge wire, and switch). I have tried all the mini compressors and this easily blows them away. Not even in the same ballpark. But you better know what your doing when you wire this up, or yes, it will be a pointless purchase. But this is easily a 5 star pump.

I got this pump to replace the tiny stock pump that came with my kit. It is certainly louder, but not overpowering. I found that in winter, mainly temps below 20 degrees, the output isnt much but that was the case with stock one as well. The pressure may be higher but the flow is still a little underwhelming. Get an onboard air system if you want huge sound.

Amazing replacement for a worn out air compressor. The truck horn I have really works well with it. I am really pleased.
