Nice lens for the price...
For the price...does a nice job. Have to hold the lens in place to get the best results.

Finicky, not well designed, but works with patience
This is not very well designed, but it works and is much better than using digital zoom--at least when you have the time. The tripod is not the easiest to position. Hence, normally I use a cheap "octopus style" (GorillaPod style) tripod instead. I did, however, use the tripod it came with for this review and it worked ok. Then there was a matter of the cell phone holder not clearing the buttons on my Lumia 820 and 640 XL phones. I solved this by attaching some adhesive foam near the edges of the base, so that the phones' power buttons sit inside the foam. It would have been better if the foam already on the base was thicker to clear the button. The telephoto lens is fiddly to position just right. Tip: position the lens holder concentrically over the cell phone lens WITHOUT the telephoto lens, and then crank down the lens holder screw as tight as you can. Then attach the telephoto lens. The telephoto lens also has a focusing dial that obviously must be focused correctly. At least it is clearly marked for distance (from 3 meters to infinity). After all that is done, you need to make sure the phone camera app's settings are optimal. Sometimes I resort to manually focusing the phone camera (after I had already focused the telephoto lens!), and then using the timer to minimize camera shake. The results speak for themselves in the attached photos. I've included a photo using digital zoom only (no telephoto lens) for comparison. For $12, I am satisfied. I probably won't be using the telephoto lens too often, but just the cell phone holder and tripod are almost worth that amount alone. The telephoto lens also seems high quality from optical, material and smoothness (when focusing) standpoint. The lens quality, high value/low cost, and the fact that this actually works is the reason I gave the product a 4-star rating despite the drawbacks above.

hard pass.
Pros: very cheap, can fit any phone (lg g flex 6" screen), came with 2 lens cloths. Cons: very cheap, tripod is very flimsy especially with larger phones, no lens caps, the adjustment arm for the lens is impossible to tighten enough to keep still, lens image quailty is awful beyond 20 yrds and focus is limited in adjustment, in low light it is useless. At the end of the day i was not upset by this purchase as i did not expect much. This review i am just trying to be as honest as possible. At the end of the day just realize it is a cheap toy_(something to play with). One photo is of the box it came in. The other is of some sheep taken at ~75yrds in good lighting from an lg g flex 13m rear camera.

Great tripod / clamp
I only really wanted the clamp attachment. The tripod was an added bonus and the lens is icing on the cake. Like other reviews, the lens setup is challenging, even if you are dexterous. -I didn't buy this product for the lens/lens arm- That said, you will not find a cheaper tripod/rubber-clamp option. The price/value is why I gave it five stars. If you're looking for an inexpensive phone holder for shooting video, this is your solution. If you want a zoom lens for your phone, consider the reviews. My phone is about 3" wide, and the clamp works great with it. The clamp opens to about 3.5" comfortably, and you could probably stretch it to 4" but it IS plastic... The really great thing about the clamp is that it is a universal attachment: so you can hook it up to any tripod, not just the mini one that they include. The tripod has telescoping legs. When they are retracted, it's very sturdy. I haven't used them extended yet. Simple product at a great price! For my purposes, 5 stars.

Optical Zoom Telescope Camera Lens
The lens mount which attaches to phone was rather flimsy. Not real happy with the tripod either.
