Janome MC6650 Sewing and Quilting Machine

Love this machine!!!! Great for textile art with its big throat space. Great for bag making with its ability to sew through heavy fabric and multiple layers as easily as 2 layers of quilting weight fabric!! Heartily recommend this machine

Love this machine! I upgraded from a Singer Heavy Duty and I'm in love with the Janome MC6650. It's quiet, smooth, and stitches are beautiful. I love the thread cutter and auto needle threader. Very happy with the purchase.

I like the straight stitch. So far I have only used this stitch. I am trying to complete a quilt from Christmas. My other combination machine needs servicing and I needed a backup. I love that it does have a quarter inch setting. I have my own quarter inch foot. All in all it is adequate for my needs. It was shipped in a box that was much too large without any other packaging materials inside. I believe this caused on of the thread spool spindles to break off. That was disappointing but not enough to return.

The machine is a great heavy-duty sewing machine. So far I love it!

I treated myself to this upgrade. I could not be more pleased. This machine is a work horse. Drop in bobbin feature. Bobbin is larger than most. You can wind the bobbin while sewing. So many options with machine!

This machine does all the things is says and is a wonderful sewing machine until it isn't. I have had trouble with it skipping time. And that little thread cutter no longer works but it was so nice while it lasted. A few months after purchasing I had an emergency stop code thrown after it locked up, broke the needle and skipped time the first time. It was sent back to the manufacturer and after 3 months they fixed the broken cutter and lock up motor but it came back with a threader that won't thread, missing foot pressure gage indicator, an overly tight thread catcher on needle. I'm flexible so I continued sewing with it because I love my machine. Went ahead finishing my quilt for it only to skip time in the middle of casually chain piecing. I'm frustrated because again it has to go back for something that should not have happened to a just serviced machine. I'm sure there are machines in this series that are sewing wonderfully with no problems but I didn't get one. I feel like if you pay $1500 plus for a machine it should do better and be completely functional not just part functional Happy sewing.

I have had this beauty of a machine for almost 2 weeks and I am now wondering how I ever lived without it! I have been a Janome fan for over 30 yrs since I bought a gently used memory craft 7000. That machine is still running amazing and is still a solid machine but I am sewing beyond what it can do. My hubby and I decided it was time for an upgrade. I couldn't be happier or more satisfied! So many great features, so easy to use and so so so much room to sew. I love this machine!
