Review: I have loved every minute of it. - I hope this tells you how much I have loved these books, this is a message I wrote the author after reading book 4's ending: Hello there, good sir. I really don't know where to start here honestly, my emotions are kind of a mess right now, I just read the end of the Trysmoon Saga. Uhm, thank you first and foremost, for delivering this series of books onto the world. They are magnificent, they stirr up emotions from every corner of your being, it strips you naked and pummels you with joy, sadness, hurt, expectation, anxiousness and much more. I couldn't keep to my seat because I would get up and clear my head before I continued reading, simply because I needed to sort my emotions out. I have read way larger sagas with more characters and almost none have achieved what you have done in a mere 4 books. The characters seemed alive and completely real, as if I was journeying with them through the books, part of their party. I must say at some points in the reading I considered if you were simply trying to hurt the reader through the books, or if you hated your main characters. Especially through Alumira, Mirelle and Gen. The ending had me crying, and I do not cry easily, if ever, so yes, those scenes were very powerful, and I love your work for it. I hadn't felt so attached to a book series in a long while, and having nothing more to read of them cleaves my heart in two, truly. I have truly loved reading these series, be it for the negative or positive emotions, I have loved every minute of it. I wish you would've made more of them or allowed the reader to spend more time with the characters, I would've loved a lifetime with them. The world-building was turly fascinating too, but what truly stuck with me are the characters. Gen was perhaps one of the best written main characters I have read about in a very long time, but Mirelle and Alumira were both a VERY welcome suprise. They're both among the most interesting, engaging, endearing and inspiring female characters I have read about (or anyone has read about). I really can't describe how I have loved to share some of the main characters' life. Lastly, I wanted to say thank you again. I will hold these series dear in my heart and memory forever, I will go back to them too, it won't feel like the first time, but it will be a glorious read anyway. Review: This was my least favorite of the four books - Fuller brings his series to a close with yet more plot twists. This was my least favorite of the four books. It is still a great read though. Overall, I'm very impressed with Fuller's books and hope to see many more come from this author. He does a great job at character development with his main characters. I would like to see a bit more attention paid to some of the others. For example, I felt that I knew Gen and Mirelle well but didn't understand Gerand or Volney as much; it would have been nice to spend a bit more time in Athan's head too. I liked the plot twists in the book too but it did start to feel like it was getting a bit old by the end. Sometimes, it is nice for things to work out the way that the characters intend. Having said that, it is still a great story. I thought that the ending was very fitting. I give Fuller kudos for writing an engaging story that wasn't full of "adult" content. I grow very tired of starting books and putting them away because of the filthy language and lack of morals in the characters. While this series isn't for children (due to complex issues and violence), it is a book that I will recommend to my teen and older children. It is refreshing to find an author who can explore adult issues while keeping it clean. I'll pay for any good story that does that!

A Bittersweet Conclusion: Ode to Traditional Fantasy
I must confess that I initially read the entire series through Kindle Unlimited. What found within these four books made me purchase them outright. While it may disappoint some readers, the Trysmoon series does not break any of the traditional fantasy molds. It does, however, execute the age-old tropes extremely well. This is especially in contrast with some of the failed attempts to create "original" plots, which more-often-than-not ends in unreadable failure. My only complaint is that the title and cover are...less than appealing. Otherwise, a solid series. The lack of vampire, werewolf, etc. is especially gratifying. The ending is bittersweet, but I think it is a good conclusion given the plot developed over the whole series. I look forward to other works by this author.

Absolutely fantastic!
The Trysmoon saga was an excellent read! I couldn't believe how engrossed I became in this book. While it's not as extensive in the writing department compared to what I'm used to such as The Stormlight archive or Patrick Ruthfus, Brian fuller sucked me into his world and I'm sad I have to leave. I loved all the main characters, which is sometimes rare for me and the whole tale was interesting and the writing style fit with what Mr. Fuller wanted to portray. I absolutely loved Mirelle and Gen and wish he would do a sequel with those characters. It was a fun read that kept me engaged all the way through and I would suggest it to anyone.

Interesting ideas. Exciting and well done.
There are four books in โThe Trysmoon Sagaโ series. They are one long story. Be prepared to read them all. The four books in order are Ascension, Duty, Hunted, Sacrifice. 5 stars for Ascension. Exciting wonderful journey following Gen an orphan. The evil local magistrate bullies and harms Gen and others. Warlord Khairn comes to town killing many. Khairn forces Gen to learn to fight. There are magical creatures and healers in this world. It reminds me of Lord of the Rings with a little Harry Potter. 4 stars for books 2 and 3, Duty and Hunted. Still very good as they continue Genโs story. 3 ยฝ stars - maybe 4 stars for the last book Sacrifice. There were sooo many battles and journeys. The main characters fight, flee and survive one obstacle, then an emergency happens and they are fighting something else. I was getting a little weary of battle after battle. But the overall story and how it ended was worthwhile. The evil god Mikkik was close to destroying all the good in the world. The epilogue was fun and very feel good. AUDIOBOOK NARRATOR: Simon Vance is excellent. And he does females well. DATA: Narrative mode: 3rd person. Swearing language: none. Sexual content: no details shown but a few occurrences are referred to after the fact. Setting: medieval time on another planet. Book copyright: 2014. Genre: fantasy.

Truly one of the most enjoyable series!
I've enjoyed this series from beginning to the end. Excellent writing and editing. Truly enjoyable series of good vs. evil as the main story line, but also fabulous and interesting characters. A wonderful romance and exciting and terrible battles round out the story. I'm very sorry to have finished it but will definitely look for other books by this author!

) I feel like the fourth book sort of takes some very strange ...
I'm going to review this book alone here, even though it seems the author's intent is that all four books be read as one book. (The chapter numbers of each even pick up where the previous book leaves off.) I feel like the fourth book sort of takes some very strange turns in wrapping up the tale. Some of which are unnecessary and to be honest, a little off-putting. Pretty much the entire Gen/Chalaine/Mirelle love triangle icks me out. I was incredibly disappointed by the big reveal that Gen was in love with the Chalaine in the first place because I felt it didn't fit either of the characters. I didn't get a romantic read off them at all, more of a friendship which was what the Chalaine needed desperately. I can't really count Fenna because Fenna was her servant and would never be as frank with her as Gen was. I thought it was terribly cliche for the hero to fall for the supernaturally beautiful woman admired and lusted for by all. Especially when said hero seems to have much better chemistry with that character's mother. The third book even ends in a manner that I thought heavily hinted that they would be married when we came back to the story in this book. The fact that he married and had relations with both daughter and mother in this book weirds me out to no end. Also, the jump from the events at the end of the last book to the beginning of this one is rather jarring. We're thrown so suddenly into the whole battle with Mikkik and everything that happens there that I thought it would turn out to be a dream Gen or the Chalaine were having. It was odd to be thrown into such drastic events so quickly. I feel as if there was too much thrown in to this book and the author tried too hard to wrap up everything neatly. On the whole it's not necessarily a bad ending, but it's not what I expected and the path to get there is strange and rushed.

Amazingly Different
This set of books are different in an amazing way. It's epic fantasy by a great story teller. I can usually guess the next step in any book, but not with this one. Every chapter turns your head in an assault on your senses. It's a fantasy, horror, battle, romance. The pace is perfect in this book and never a dull moment. There are elves, monsters, God's chosen, dwarfs, hero's and so much more. It's not your average fantasy we all love, it's so much more. Evil, normal, blessed, dead or alive, hero or damned....you will guess, but are you sure?

4.8 of Five Stars. Trysmoon saga Book Four
Book four is a fitting conclusion to the four book series The Trysmoon Saga. The ending was not what I expected to be, but that is a good thing. The author,Brian Fuller, weaves an enchanting mix of action and adventure into an ending that suitably fits the environment of the entire series. In books where some main characters die, and some main characters are brought back to life this skillfully written conclusion to this series is a completely comfortable, and well written, ending to a great series.

enjoyable, full of life
This saga is a very enjoyable fantasy read. In this genre I like my heroes, heroines and baddies to be of the classic sort. This fits the bill admirably. The language, from time to time, may seem slightly too contemporary but the touch is such that in a way it adds freshness to the tale. Noticing it probably means I am getting old, anyone under 40 probably won't even know what I mean ! I found the geophysics and geography of the world a little hard to rationalise at first but eventually just let portals and shards be whatever they were. The magic system isn't brilliantly described but this is more than offset by the enjoyable characters and well described action and events. Over the last couple of years I have been trying to find new SF writers and have been disappointed. Brain Fuller has convinced me that all is not lost ! I suppose in the scheme of things it doesn't hit the heights of Hobb, GRR M or Rothfuss but this man tells a good tale. You can get enjoyably lost in this book. Thanks for a good read !

At last another good fantasy series
Always on look out for fantasy series of quality. This qualifies - all four books kept me addicted to grabbing my kindle for a further read. Quality of writing grown up. There was a touch too much of the dead peeps coming back to life through some sort of magic which for me can lessen the excietement as you're never sure that bad news for one of the characters is really bad news or will they be back later. However I'm being picky, it's enjoyable - go for this series.
