Comfortable and varied uses
Admittedly the Gila GX is my first gaming mouse, so that novelty by itself probably lends to some bias on my part. But to be honest, I really like this model and I'm not sure what else perhaps another mouse could offer. I primarily wanted this mouse for a dual purpose: FPS gaming and digital arts/video production uses. Despite the GIla being advertised as a RPG style gaming mouse, the 14 buttons which it has are predominately placed in very ergonomic locations which translate just as well in a FPS gaming environment. It works great for commands such as those originally bound to "ctrl" or any of the number buttons (such as weapon inventory), but i'm sure any mouse with programmable buttons would work well in that regard anyways. There is maybe only one button that is a pain to actually reach for, that being the bottom button on the right of the RMB. The top one on that side however is much easier to reach for. The button mapping is easy to use with the given software/drivers the Gila comes with. You can pick to assign pre-programmed commands to any of the buttons, ranging anywhere from the traditional "sniper" dpi reduction command, a rapid 3-5 LMB click command, and even copy, paste, and volume commands. And if there is any kind of command missing that you're looking for, it's simple to record a macro string command (with delays), which can then be bound to any of the buttons easily. There's room for 6 different button map profiles which you can save, and even switch between on the fly (it's one of the pre-programmed button command options). Outside of button mapping, there are many options regarding DPI, sensitivity, etc, and with a total of 8200dpi, there's a lot of room to find the right amount that you're comfortable with. And the bonus customization lights and weight options are a fun plus. However, I guess it's worth noting that some of the lights you'll never see since they point towards the monitor, and thus away from your face, but I might just be nitpicking. And for me, the Gila feels very robust and solid in my hand despite the lightweight materials used. I honestly can't think of many negatives to be honest. I only just started using the mouse, so I can't comment on the GIla's lifespan just yet. Maybe a significant negative would be the original listed price of around 100$ I think I saw. But for me, I found it on sale here on Amazon, and coupled that with a giftcard, so I only spent around $20. And for that price, this is an awesome mouse. I definitely recommend this mouse so far. It's a lot of fun to use and works great!

An affordable, killer mouse.
I don't know if its the finish or just being old inventory, but the plastic came off a little yellowish. Nevertheless, it never affected performance and is still a cool looking mouse. It worked out of the box, came with drivers in a disk but I downloaded the latest one from the internet. The driver has lots to offer with customization ranging from feel to DPI settings, but I was already satisfied with the base settings. The level of DPI really made an improvement to how I played Heroes of the Storm and the keys feel all-around solid. The adjustable weights were a cool feature, but the door accessing it was a bit tough to open and I do worry about breaking it whenever I try to open it. Time will tell how long the mouse will last, but overall, this was a worthwhile purchase and I do recommend it when the competition offers the same quality at a higher price. Grab it now while it's at a low price, because I feel that this model was discontinued and there is a surplus.

Awesome Mouse
Great Gaming mouse. Fits well in hand, weights are nice and so is ability to change dpi on the fly. You can color this mouse any way you feel which was a added bonus. Buttons are well placed on the mouse and very responsive. Love this Mouse and will buy again if I ever need to. Update: After about 6 months the mouse wheel became very slack. Sometimes needing to do 3 clicks on mouse for 1 move in game. Also, the software would just turn off. Only fix to the issue was unplug and re plug in mouse. Too bad the mouse had a great feel and is very comfortable.

Great mouse at first, issues at 7 months. Don't expect warranty support.
The ability to customize lighting is obviously cool, and the physical feel is perfect with all of the weights inserted. The DPI switch is useful, and the scroll wheel has a sturdy "click" action to it. They even include extra pads for the bottom of the mouse since on most mice the adhesive eventually gives out making the pads fall off. There was a glitch synching the settings to the mouse on the first attempt, which left the mouse unable to click. I plugged my old mouse back in long enough to attempt to update the settings again; it worked the second time and restored full functionality to the mouse. I've had the tracking get a little "jumpy" on me, but not for long periods of time. If I were a highly competitive gamer, I'd probably be looking for something more consistent. I haven't gotten into the macro and programming functions yet, but the software seems reasonably intuitive. Edit: Seven months in, the mouse has begun detecting most of my clicks as "double clicks." I've seen this happen with mice before, and it's always a hardware issue. I'm trying to get support from Genius, but they have a very odd little group of websites that seem to think everyone's still running Windows 95, and there's nowhere obvious to submit a warranty request, only "User Feedback." I've just sent a request, and will update the review when/if I hear back. Downgrading from 3 to 2 stars for now. Edit 2: It's been about a week with no reply from the manufacturer. I have to believe that I got a lemon, and it was nice while it lasted, so I'll leave it at two stars for the complete lack of customer service should you have an issue.

I have 2 keyboards by the same company, they are damn good! SO I saw the same branding and style on this mouse and decided to give it a try. The mouse itself is kind of OK. But the shape of the mouse is terrible. 1/10 The rear end bulges too outward and the hand kind of slips off it. its impossible to keep your hand on the mouse comfortably. The buttons and clicks are fine, their placement is also good, the color and style is also good. But the shape is terrible. infact despite the keyboard and mosue looking VERY nice together as they have the same red stripes. I had to return the mouse. I tried gaming with it for a while and boy... my hand hurt!
