Best of both worlds.
I agonised for a long time over precisely what alpine-touring touring set-up to get. I wanted something that would for my back-country trips but still suitable for charging down resort slopes, too. I'd flirted with switching to telemark but in the end couldn't commit to it, knowing when I'd hit steeps or icy conditions I'd switch back. But having done some nordic touring, too, I loathed the idea of covering ground in stiff alpine bootsSo, the Terminator X ended up being the best of both worlds. Dynafit bindings + bellows for more efficient and comfortable skinning + sturdy shell for support on the down. Great Intuition liners and Vibram soles. I couldn't find anyone (NSW ski region, Australia) stocking a pair small enough for my small, female feet but found the sizing from Scarpa to Scarpa product fine.

Won't use them until next ski season but I have Scarpa T1's and no reason to think that they will not perform just as well.

Boots felt great as soon as I put them on!
These boots fit like a glove. I took them Backcountry skiing after wearing them 4 times and had no issues. I have a verry low arch and didn't need my orthotics.

Used it for two seasons in Alberta both in low and high country. Compared to my alpine boots, it is a bit less insulated and my toes would feel cold in -15C and below. It also fits tighter and so the cold translates with better contact. My boots feel true to size however required the 25 mondo liner for my feet to fit well. I also required a thicker ortho- sole which made my arches feel more supported. The only negative is that my toes feel colder at lower temperatures, much easily cold than my alpine boots. Very nice quality boots and the buckles are sturdy; power transfers well into the NTN binding. Only con is that snow can get stuck under the arch which makes it difficult to engage the NTN binding mechanism. Overall very happy although it is pricey.
