Hickory Farms Beef Summer Sausage

There is no better beef sausage. Have given this at Christmas and birthdays for years. Perfect choice. Always a success when given or bought for personal enjoyment.

If you ever sold cheeze and sausage as a school fundraiser then you know what I mean. The flavor is mild and the texture is in that sweet spot between chunky and mealy like bologna. The whole mustard seed is a delight. Is sold as a single. It's also sold as a triple. This gets 4 stars because for me the Goldilocks pack is two.

I remember walking through the mall as a kid and the people at the Hickory Farms store would have platters with this summer sausage cut into tiny bits with toothpicks coming out for free samples. They were delicious then and they are delicious now. Some kind of magic recipe. This summer sausage costs a few dollars more than others but its worth every penny.

I have been eating this summer sausage for years. I can't find them in nearby stores, and other brands aren't as good, in my opinion. Amazon is the easiest way for me to purchase this. I just try not to dwell on the cost per pound!

This sausage is not as dry as it was years ago.

Just terrible taste and texture.
