Smart Shower for an affordable price!
We were shocked when our local plumbing supply store sold this product for much more than Amazon. I was a bit hesitant in purchasing from Amazon, but I'm happy I did. The installation was a breeze for my plumber and the product seems to work well. For some reason, we lost electric to the unit but it somehow came back. Not sure what the issue was, but it hasn't happened after the first week. I understand that there is an app to control the water. The unit is installed in my boys' bathroom and they use Alexa to turn on the water-based on their user profile and heat setting. Fantastic product.

Great upgrade to our shower.
The setup for this was one of the most painful I've encountered. I created an account then it refused to accept my password, told me I hadn't created the account, refused the password again, refused to let me create another account. After just trying repeatedly for about half an hour I finally got it to work and connect to the controller. Since then I've had no issues. I open the app on my phone and press the preset button and away it goes. It does a great job of temperature control, I don't even notice any changes anymore whereas before it was constant adjustment of hot and cold as the dishwasher, washing machine and toilets went on and off. It looks good, was a bit bright at first and wife complained so I lowered the brightness in the settings. Installation was pretty straightforward. The only part I really had trouble with were the mounting screws for the controller holder. They were too short to reach through to the other side (one layer of marble, one of concrete and one of drywall) as they recommend and longer screws are not an option as these are already incredibly rare to have heads that small and be as long as they are. Eventually I used 3/8" plastic wall anchors in the marble and screwed into those and that worked great for a rock solid mounting. The inlets/outlets connected to Sharkbite 1/2" connectors without any adapter requirements making the plumbing process easy enough. I did install an access panel and shutoff valves but even then be warned that when taking the line filters out there will be water going everywhere, stuff a towel underneath before you start or your wall is going to fill up with water. I didn't have any WiFi issues as others have mentioned but I also have a high end gaming router with eight antennas positioned directly below the bathroom. They don't mention it but when the AC power goes out it will run off the battery but the WiFi will be disabled. When it can't connect to the WiFi it will reset every couple of minutes trying to connect (and not connecting of course because they turn off the WiFi). I did call Moen and tell them about this and they agreed it was a bug so hopefully will be fixed in the future. Not a showstopper because you just have to wait for it to reset and then start the shower, and it won't reset while the shower is running. I combined the upgrade with a Moen Verso multi-head and Moen body sprayers (where the hot and cold faucets used to be) and showering now is just pure heaven. My only regret was not doing this sooner. Total cost for everything needed to complete the project was about $1600 and IMHO well worth it.

Worth it once it’s in,
Bought this after wanting it for about 10 years. It was a retrofit into my standalone 2-head shower stall. I had 4 licensed plumbers refuse the job, and leaned on my regular handyman to do the plumbing and I did the tech and planning. Fortunately I have a nice accessible wet wall in a closet behind the shower that I could expand the opening for the frankly enormous valve box. As other reviewers have mentioned, being able to switch a/b outlets and h/c inlets via software would have reduced the spaghetti junction of piping I had to do to accommodate the factory setup. See the attached picture. In use for about a week now, this is everything I wanted it to be…decadent and useless, but worth every penny of the cost and pain of installing for me. I’m going to ding 1 star for non-switchable plumbing and the frankly garbage phone app.

Once you get passed how to pair with Alexa, everything is good...
OK. The unit is great. Hot waters get delivered almost instantly and it maintains temperature at great precision (+/- 2 deg from my experience) even with someone using water in the house. Screen is responsive. Easy to mount. Now the most frustrating thing is the initial setup. I almost return this unit because of how difficult it is to pair with my phone using U by Moen app. I do not know if Moen hired fresh grad for writing the FW. It is terrible. You would think in this age, it should be seamless. No, it is not. Moen, please hire some capable FW engineers to work on the app. Please beg you.....

Declined in quality FAST
When I originally purchased shower set it was amazing. Voice activated shower with custom presets! Then the power went out for the first time. Required a hard reset. Had to dig back into the wall to access the power supply. Not a huge deal if you have a water trap like I did. Then the voice activation became finicky. "Alexa turn on preset *name*" stopped working. Had to use "START preset *name*". Not the end of the world. Just weird. THEN the voice activations would acknowledge but the shower wouldn't turn on. The valves just wouldn't turn over the full way. If you turned it off and on multiple times EVENTUALLY you would get a normal stream of water. Now, the app kicked me out after God knows how many months. No big deal. Try to log in. Account info invalid. Password reset. No email on file. Log in to the Moen website using the same info. Everything checks out. Manually start the shower, all the presets work including the names. I submit my report to customer service. Day passes with no response. No big deal. Next morning account is working again. Shower still has to be fought with but that's been life for months now. Day passes normally. Come home from work. Account kicked out of again. Submit another email. Days pass. Account still not working. Still no response from Moen. TLDR: for the price you pay it definitely isn't worth it. Even if you can install it yourself. It's a shame because it use to be a highlight of my household.

I like this shower system…
I like it! What I don’t like and did not realize is one can not adjust the amount of water flow! It is either on or off…

So simple entire family jumps in and sets temp and picks there shower heads. Love it
Best controller ever. Only thing I read in other reviews was that you could not adjust water flow, but I never would want too. This is so easy compared to the old manual valves that were use the other heads all the time, that is the best feature. Temp control is perfect even after flushing toilet. I am so happy and I read a lot of reviews and studied up on all options. I have 4 heads and to buy same moen manual valves would be 560 dollars less. This is very much worth that cost to upgrade. And, I installed it all myself, instructions were helpful. This is a must if you ate going to have multiple heads. I am updating the review because another savings is the fact that it defaults to 100 degrees. You end up saving a lot if hot water as otherwise you hurt for a good temp but it is probably a lot hotter than 100. Especially in the summer. The kids dont use as much hot water either. All in all this has saved money I am sure but really the best is that we dont run out of hot water when we all take showers back to back. Would give 6 stars if I could.

The future is now
I did a lot of research and could not be happier with the choice to go with the Moen Wi-Fi two outlet valve and LCD display. The preset features are easy to program and make things a lot easier. The valve sets and keeps the temperature perfectly! It literally is like magic. I am disabled and this means no more freezing cold shower and no more scalding and no more highs and lows with the temperature. We were able to mount the valve underneath the shower in the basement Because the master bedroom is on the first floor. This is great because we don’t have an access panel taking up space on a wall in the bathroom. The LCD display makes an incredibly clean look to the shower wall with no visible valves. We have one port going to an overhead rain shower which you cannot see in the picture and the other port going to a handheld unit which you can see in the picture. We could not be happier. Thank you Moen for making such a great product.

Love it, just wish it was more internationally compatible
Have been using this shower system for about a year now. It's great it auto turns off on loss of power, auto temp adjustments are a live saver, really nice clean display too easy to read from a distance. Only downside for me is the company is strictly America's only - their app is country locked which makes support impossible and there's no timezone that matches where I am.

Control well the shower valve. Software has some minor glitches but I will contact MOEN about that
It was very simple to install. I love the cable that is just a 3 connector headphone/mic cable (1/8 or 3.5mm) : simple and easy to replace if anything happens (I tested the cable with my phone+headphones). The App is pretty good (I have Android). The angle of view is a bit narrow, so make sure you install it high enough. Quick enough to switch on and off the Outputs. I have 4 output connected: 2 Rain Shower heads, 1 Telephone Shower and 1 set of 3 Body Jets. Great that it has a black version, all my hardware is matte black. The valve (that Is a different purchase) is pretty very good too. The ensemble is a good choice. One downside might be that you cannot control the pressure of each output, but it's not a big deal. (After thinking about it.... who turns on shower only halfway?)

If you haven’t tried this, you don’t know what you were missing, this is by far the best valve system and shower you can ever have, for the quality, price and support !

Just a toy with a buggy controller and buggy connections to Alexa
I really wanted to like this smart shower, especially due to the investment cost. I installed this system myself in a new shower and the plumbing (copper pipes) and the electrical were easy. For the placement of the controller, Moen gives little guidance. Can it get wet? Should it be outside the shower? And why is the controller so huge? And why no control of the water flow? You can only set the temperature. The smart part of the shower is very difficult to get working. You will need a new app even if you already have a Moen app. Write down your password, because connecting to the controller is a painful process with it rejecting the link over and over, requiring you to log in again. Once connected, your options are limited. My controller is currently showing the wrong time and there is no guidance as to how to fix this, even though I change time zones in the app. Connecting to Alexa took several tires over several days. My account is now linked, but it does not work. Alexa says the shower is not connected. Moen offers no support for this product. Also note that there is no battery option for this mixer. If the power goes out, you have no shower unless you have the battery pack. I put in ball valves before the mixer to redirect the water around the mixer in the event of a power outage. Overall, cool toy, but I have buyers remorse.
