I have other stainless straws but these are my first collapsible. I like these better than the ones I have because of the larger overall diameter. The length is just fine with a 30 oz. Yeti and the diameter is adequate for a smoothie. I anticipated a compromise in use from air leaking at the seams and expected metal on metal grinding when fully extending. There’s none of that. I’m guessing there’s a bushing or o-ring at each section preventing that but I’m not willing to dissect mine to find out! The quality of the straw, case, key ring, carabiner are all better quality than expected. The two brushes also telescope so you can carry them inside the straw. While adequate for on the go, they’re kind of sparce. I clean mine at home with a better brush. I of course washed them before use and there’s zero metal taste. Taking heed of reviewers who lost theirs from the bottom unscrewing (that it does is a nice touch for periodic cleaning) I applied Loctite Blue to the bottom threads and I haven’t had an issue. Being stainless, they do conduct heat/cold and it would be nice if they came with a silicone tip. I added one from the handful I got with my first stainless straws and cut it down so it fits when collapsed inside the case. I keep one in my golf bag so I won’t have to use styrofoam and a plastic straw each round. I keep the other in my car and feel good about not using a plastic straw each time I hit a drive thru. The case fits easily in my pocket when dining out. I’m sure these won’t last forever and at the end of their service I’ll buy these again…and then find out what makes them operate so smoothly and efficiently.

Bought for our cruise and loved it. I don't like the paper or candy straws on the ships and this was a great solution. Now I'm going to put it on my key ring so I have it to use at home. I just have to remember to tell the server, no straw please.

This is a great solution to the paper straw situation that is popping up everywhere. While I am all for protecting/cleaning up our environment, I really abhor using paper straws. This solves that problem. My straw stays clean in the little case in my purse for when I need it. The only design flaw I can find is the collapsible cleaning brush (great idea) does tend to kind of get "lost" inside the straw and you have to find something to push it back up with so you can pull it out prior to using. I have solved this problem by just not taking the brush in the case. I leave it at home which is where I do the dishes anyway. I haven't found a need for the brush when I'm out and about so I'm satisfied with this solution. All in all, I would recommend this straw!

These are the perfect size to travel with. You can stick it on your keychain or inside your purse and they don’t take up a lot of space. They’re strong they don’t have a weird taste to them. I find them very easy to clean. And I love the fact that the straw cleaner can fit right inside them and travel with them so you can clean them on the go as well. If you like going to the theater and getting the large drinks, they’re not tall enough for that, but they’re perfect for medium or small drinks.

Worked really well for our cruise. The blue tip piece kept coming off, possible choking hazard so be careful, it’s worth it just to remove it if using for younger children.

Since covid started, most beverage establishments won’t let me bring my own cup when I purchase my daily cup of coffee. Also, did y’all know starbucks got rid of their straws? I wanted to purchase a straw to minimize my carbon footprint on the rare occasions I go out for coffee or tea these days. I’ll start with the things I like about these straws. They’re very portable since they’re retractable. The carrying case that comes with it is also very convenient since you can hook it onto your keychain and always have it on you. It also comes with a retractable cleaning brush so you can always clean it on the go. Because it’s retractable, you can adjust the length of the straw according to how big your cup is. Some things I don’t like about this straw are: the retractability of it also makes it difficult to clean. When you’re scrubbing the inside of the straw with the brush, the straw constantly retracts. The straw is also not as durable as just a plain metal straw that can’t retract. The metal is thinner and the retracting mechanism will eventually wear out with enough uses. Overall though, the pros outweigh the cons for me. It’s not as durable as the non-retractable straws I have at home, but it’s great for on-the-go. I take this straw with me everywhere and lets me enjoy my coffee beverages through a straw without the waste that comes with plastic straws.
