A Touch of Crimson: A Renegade Angels Novel Review: Great start!! - I totally loved this book!!...After reading the last 2 reviews of this book, I couldnt disagree more! I didnt feel that there were inconsistencies,I felt that the book was setting the stage for something bigger and that everything that the characters believed would change...I could be totally wrong, I but I think in the next few books, it will all be clear. I think that Adrian, along with all the angels, the lycans and also the vampires, will all evolve into something else in the future books..The vampires are really not "souless" as they are supposed to be, as they care about each other, the lycans arent really supposed to be slaves, so they take things into their own hands, and the angels probably will develop relationships in the future...This book formed a very interesting and complex world, which I found fascinating...Adrian was a great leader and his feelings for Lindsay were very strong..Lindsay was complex and compassionate and totally believable in her dealings with this new world, which she thought she didnt belong in, but really did! I loved how their relationship was handled....and I also loved Elijah too! He is an alpha, they all knew it, and apparently stepped up, although we will have to see in the next book what exactly happened...all in all, this book was captivating and was hard to put down...I highly recommend it and cant wait for the next one! Review: Good, & worth the read to get to book 2 - Sylvia Day has found a spot on my pre-order author list, which is very, very short. Although her stories sometimes have plot and or character issues, her writing is compelling and her books are hard to put down. Not only does she nail descriptions and stir emotions, but she writes character chemistry and sexual tension very well. I would have given this book 5 stars except that, as others have stated, the double standard regarding Adrian is off-putting and not well enough explained. The author addresses it some in book 2 (unsure if she planned this or did so in response to negative reviews), and it did soften me some to him (and made me question if even further explanation was to come in book 3), but it didn't fix the problem entirely. Had he taken the attitude of 'I won't turn you in, but if you get caught...', it would have been better. But why no one questioned his affair is odd and unclear. Even so, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters are likeable and well drawn, and the chemistry between them is excellent. Reading A Touch of Crimson is definitely worth it to get to book 2, a continuation of the story and a total 5-star work if there ever was one. If you don't mind graphic love scenes and you can overlook some minor flaws and poor theology where the angels are concerned, you'll like this series.

Amazing story line and intense attraction!
One of the best supernatural romances I have read, to date. Ms. Day has created such an intricate story that goes beyond any love story romance novel, this is full of twists, turns, surprises, angels, vampires, Lycans and all you can imagine that comes with it. Alphas, testosterone spilling out of every male character's pores while also entwining moral convictions which characters live and battle with. It is an amazing read which I finished in two days and just purchased the second novel which I truly look forward to delving into.

insane
This book is just crazy. So many amazing plot twists and turns! The characters are broken but so worthy of love at the same time. It’s going to be an amazing series, I just hope it ends up being more than two books and two novellas long!

Talented Writing, but Vague Story
This was a somewhat entertaining read, but not a really good piece of literature. I thought the story had some potential in the beginning about Adrian fallling in love with Shadoe (Lindsay) in a second lifetime. I liked how she didn't know she was in love with him centuries prior, but the story lost some details from there. There were some very tedious chapters where I didn't understand how the background characters contributed to the plot because it focused too much on the kingdom and too little on the main characters. It could have talked more about Lindsay and Adrian's pasts and how their reconnection changed them, plus more on why the other people didn't like them together. It would have also been interesting if it talked about Lindsay going back and forth between lives, as she continued her work throughout the week and spent weekends in the kingdom (For instance, it could have mentioned her performance going down because of daydreaming, Adrian silently talking to her while she's working, lust, etc.) The ending was okay, but could have had a more interesting twist, such as Lindsay finding out it was all a dream or being told she's delusional or a vampire taking extreme revenge on her. But it pretty much lacks all of the details I mentioned. The book does contain a few explicit scenes, but it's not too in depth. Is it worth reading if you're a big Sylvia Day fan? Yes. Is it worth buying the second book? No.

Am in love with this book, wish it had an audio version though. It's hard to find time to actually sit & read all the time but I can always listen all the time. Adrian & Lindsey are quite a pair.... love love this book

Loved it from the first page!! Action, Angels, Sentinels, Vampires, Lycans, Demons, Love and Sex all rolled into one! what more could a girl want? I read A Dark Kiss of Rapture the short novella in this series first which being short i devoured in one sitting (although a full on non stop 4 hour sitting) but it left me hungry to learn sooo much more about this world the author, Sylvia Day had created - so i dived straight into A Touch of Crimson, being a longer book it took a few more sittings but was still finished in a few days as i just could not put it down - the characters are fabulous the story line is fantastic and the detail and set up is amazing. Hats off to Syvlia Day for creating such a fabulous and engrossing world and story line that is intricately put together. I have gone on to read the next installment being A Hunger So Wild and love the fact that the author goes from one set of characters to another seamlessly picking up loose ends and taking you through so you can see events from both sides of the story - its fab - am waiting for the other short novella in the series, A Caress of Wings to become available on E-Book download and then its a long wait for the next book A Taste of Seduction in February 2013!! can I wait that long?? I don't think I can!!! All in all the whole series is a must read, I also thoroughly enjoyed Bared to You from the Crossfire Novel series from the same author Sylvia Day and cannot wait for the next book - I don't know how she does it but so far every book of her's that I have ready has been superb!
