Good game
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is an incredible value and one of the best collections available for PS4. It includes tons of content, exciting missions, and countless hours of gameplay. The humor is hilarious, the characters are memorable, and the loot system keeps you coming back for more. The remastered graphics look great, and the co-op mode makes the experience even more enjoyable with friends. If you enjoy action-packed shooters and RPG elements, this collection is a must-have. Highly recommended!

This is the story of a man named Handsome Jack
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is probably the best collection out in the PS4 and Xbox One.....unless that you don't want to buy games that you already play on the old gen BUT if you haven't play Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel! then here two simple word BUY IT, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is a remastered version of Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel! plus all DLC in both games giving you a total of 100 hours of gameplay and 12 playable character in total (6 in 2 and 6 in TPS!). Story: You probably know the story but in case here a fast run, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! you join forces with Handsome Jack oh wait i mean Jack (Also this mean your one of the Bad Guys), you will be fighting on Elpis (Pandora moon) and in the Helios space station Aka Borderlands own Death Star but shape of a H, As you progress you will see how Jack will rises to powers but don't take this as a grey and too serious story instead the game is full of Dark Humor and Insane Cast that gonna give you hours of hours of laughter (Double if you decide to play as Claptrap). Borderlands 2 take place after TPS! were Handsome Jack (The guy you help in TPS!) Has takeover Pandora and trying to bring order BUT theres still hope as the new Vault Hunter you must join the Crimson Raider a group of resistance member that trying to stop Jack plans, As you progress you will meet more insane character and face epic boss fight while keeping in mind your one and most important task KILL JACK!. Gameplay: The Gameplay is far smoother giving you that perfect fast pace shooting with touches of RPG elements were you level up, upgrade your character and get better gear so you can kill even bigger stuff but beware enemies will come in powerful ways so always be ready to have that perfect gear. There also vehicles moment in big open areas full of enemies with vehicles attack and creature to road kill also they work to get at your objective in a much faster way. Each Vault Hunter has a Action Skill were you get a unique ability only for that character to do massive damage for example Zer0 can turn invisible and send a hologram that will distract your enemies while you wait to strike one behind the more you wait the better damage you do, this can also expand in doing other stuff when level up Co op: 4 players can join and experience the story from beginning to end, doing this will make the enemies more tougher but you will be getting better loot, you can play Online or split screen up to 4 player with your friends. Note playing as Claptrap in TPS! in Co op can result in many fun ways since this will effect all 4 players also if all players are different Vault Hunters in either games you can use your abilities to help and strategy. Soundtrack: You may not hear it good due to all the gun shooting and explosion but the soundtrack is a mix of western cowboy and dubstep you know the one the wub wub wub wub style overall the soundtrack is nice and knows when it has to be this calm nature way and when to bring that heavy epicness when fight begins. Okay now to go for a little negative and while the latest patch fix many thing in making this a better package i feel sad that they couldn't included the original Borderlands along the way but hey that doesn't mean all is lost we still get two awesome games plus all DLC in one package plus the price of 50 SOLD................No really you should buy it, the review is over..........go home if your reading this in someone house, ummmm bye ?.

Great place for new players to start - Unique Game
This collection is absolutely amazing, especially for players like me that are new to Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel. The price value cannot be beat. All of the DLC content is here, including the new DLC content they released when the Handsome Collection came out (Claptastic Voyage) The graphics are great and the faster frame rates make for an entertaining ride. You start with some 'gifts' (a relic to increase rare drops) and a nice grenade mod. Also, if you owned this on the PS3, which I did but hadn't yet played, you get a loyalty reward allotted to your account of 75 Golden Keys (used to unlock weapons). I just registered with Gearbox and boom, they were there. Borderlands the series is a special experience. It is unique and not like any other game I've ever played. It has a rich story, amazing amount of unique and interesting, funny characters that you are genuinely interested in. The story itself is immersive, the characters you played in the Borderlands 1 are back as support characters in Borderlands 2. The unique landscapes and wild life are all here. Enemies have an array of dialogue, motivations and attacks. Of course, there are more guns in this game than any other, not all are worth your time. This game encourages multiple playthroughs. They have the original, the True Vault Hunter Mode and the Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. Additionally they have added, overpower levels, of which there are 8. Each time you succeed you gain one overpowered level (allowing you to scale enemies up to ten times your level) So if a challenge is what you are looking for, it's here. If an afternoon of immersive fun in a wild place like Pandora where anything can happen is your idea of fun, that's here too. Pandora reminds me of the wild west. It's very unpredicatable, and anything goes. You can round a corner and hear an enemy yell, "Gimme yer loot and I'll let you live", or you just might have a psycho in full sprint with an ax overhead saying, "I can still taste her lovely sweat-box, she fed me such tears of ecstasy." or "I plucked a hair from the head of a dying baby! Let me give it to you!' Try this game. A ton of people are still playing it. It's been around a while and is still going strong, especially Borderlands 2.

Borderlands 2 Review
Borderlands 2 Review Edition: Handsome Collection. Reviewed on: PS4 Borderlands 2 is a first-person shooter RPG (role-playing game) that takes place in the sci-fi world of Pandora where you’re hired to find a mysterious “Vault” left behind by an advanced alien species known as Eridians. This Vault is said to contain immense treasures and your adventures along the way will have you meeting a large variety of funny characters, difficult enemies, crazy creatures, and amazing boss fights. This game has a very detailed and deep leveling system that allows for your characters to harness super fun and helpful abilities to help you blast away at any enemies that happens to get in your way. This leveling system is different and unique for all of the six playable characters. The environments and areas to explore in this game are very different and unique ranging from rolling sand dunes of the desert, to snowy glaciers, to futuristic cities. This game also has a loot system that features randomly generated weapons and gear which means that all loot will be different from the last, this loot generating can generate tons of different items, so many in fact that the developers aren't sure how much. The previous Borderlands game had around 1,750,000 different weapon combinations and the developers say that Borderlands 2 has way more! This game runs very smoothly and I never experienced any lag or framerate drops while playing. The game also features online co-op with up to four players and up to four player split screen which made for some of the best couch co-op gaming I’ve ever had. Borderlands 2 has a very goofy sense of humor throughout the game which always keeps things entertaining. This game will keep its players playing because of its well developed plot, goofy sense of humor, excellent combat mechanics, and its extremely addictive loot system. Even though all of these things make the game very fun to play, no game is without its problems. This game will constantly have you go through areas that are fun, but then have you make the boring trek back through them, this means that a lot of time will be spent on just traveling back from places. Also, a lot of side missions will have you do the same kind of tasks which can be a little repetitive, but if you are paying attention to the dialogue, the story behind these missions really helps in making them seem less tedious. This game also makes it so that in order to level your character to the highest levels you need to replay the game in a different, tougher mode where you get to keep everything you had previously earned. This mode is entertaining due to it introducing many new enemies and loot, but can definitely be repetitive replaying all of the missions again. The final mode is extremely difficult which causes players to think things through much more and utilize the necessary abilities to succeed. Overall, Borderlands 2 is a fantastic game that offers hundreds of hours of fun to anyone who enjoys first person shooters and RPGs. It has a great plot, memorable characters, an addictive loot system, and fun missions and boss fights. I’d give it a 9.5/10.

Borderlands The handsome collection ps4
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is a chaotic, funny, loot-filled shooter bundle with two full games and tons of DLC. Crazy guns, wild enemies, great co-op, and one of gaming’s best villains make it nonstop, over-the-top fun.

Solid game with unbearable porting problems.
Despite my quibbles with the way Borderlands 2 changed up the loot system and seemed to eschew the loot crawling of Borderlands 1 for a more 'raid boss' oriented approach with an over reliance on story, I generally felt it was a solid game. I was less enthused about Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel but it still seemed like a fun romp at its core, given that it was built on the original Borderlands 2. It's sad, then, that I feel compelled to knock The Handsome Collection down a few pegs. Why, you ask? Two words: Shoddy porting. Graphically, the game is a mess. Both Borderlands 2 and BL:TPS suffer severe frame rate problems and stuttering. These issues are especially pronounced with elemental effects and are reminiscent of the frame drops of Borderlands 1's corrosive weapons. You WILL regularly suffer points in the game where your frame rate will drop below 30 fps, perhaps even lower with more people. It's not like the anti-aliasing, depth of field, or bloom effects are particularly top notch enough to justify these drops and forget about maintaining any kind of consistent frame rates with split screen coop. Additionally, the sound is, at best, wonky in both games. In heavy firefights, it's not uncommon to have significant audio lag. It almost sounds as though the game just can't process all the audio channels it's trying to, so some sounds get clipped or muted outright. On a medium quality PC build these games can easily be played at 1080p with more consistent frame rates, better audio processing, and more stable multiplayer. It's hard for me to recommend this version with these blatantly obvious porting issues. I'd give it a 2.5 if I could, but rounding up to 3 stars.

100's of hours of entertainment.
Great game. I've loved borderlands 1 and 2 and the this is every bit as good, if not better. Love the moon physics and slam damage. Really fun to mess around with. Also really enjoy the new vehicle and cryo damage. If borderlands 2 never got old for you, neither will this. It's the same game with enough new stuff to make it worth it. If you haven't played 2 then you are in for a REAL treat with the handsome collection. Update: Game is still awesome, even better than when I wrote the review. I just wanted to give some more info on it for those who are on the fence. 1. Laser weapons - just one more gun type to switch over to mid battle for extra ammo. Not my fav weapon, but nice to have 2. Glitch weapons!! LOVE them!! It's part of the claptrap DLC and they are amazing. They are pink in rarity. usually they are good weapons as is, but they have little bonus' that will kick in while using them. For instance an SMG will just randomly turn into a shotgun for a full clip, or it will just auto fire through a whole clip, but only spend 1 bullet for every 3-4 fired, glitch weapons are AMAZING.. They're better than a lot of the legendary weapons I've had. 3. Weapon grinder - build your own weapons.. It's fun! Make sure that you mess with it.. I didn't for the first several hrs and really regret it. 4. Slam Damage - I mentioned it earlier, but it really is awesome.. Especially cryo slam damage. Jump in the air, slam down and freeze your enemies.. Then unload on them. 5. Lawbringer - Seriously.. If you read this review before playing the game, go with the lawbringer.. I started with the gladiator and got her up to 50... SOOO wish I haven't.. I've died A LOT less with my law bringer (now a level 30). 6. Vending machines - The presequel has way more offers through the vending machines than bl2 had. I've bought 6-7 legendary weapons/grenades/class mods through the vending machines. It gives you an incentive to try and get money.. More than BL2 did in my opinion. Also Vending machines level up with you as you go along. If you head back to an old area you won't have lower level items in the machines. That's really all I have to add. This is one of my favorite series and it's made better by the Pre sequel.. Get it!! Thanks for looking everyone.

Value for money by the bucket load.
After playing and absolutely loving Borderlands 1 and 2, I was gutted when I upgraded my PS3 to a PS4 and Borderlands the pre sequel was released, but only on the PS3. Now all that has changed with the release of The handsome collection. Not only do I get Borderlands 2 and all of the add on content and extra maps (some of which I didn't ever get round to buying on my PS3) but I also get Borderlands the Pre Sequel, the level cap and add ons already released and a free upgrade to the upcoming season pass as well. Considering that I spent a good few months playing Borderlands 2 on the PS3, I am guessing that with all the add on content and the Pre sequel and add ons in this pack, new players will easily get a package containing a good 6 months worth of gaming, if you play for 4 or 5 hours a day. Borderlands is a huge open world RPG game with buckets of humour, literally millions (I'm not exaggerating) of weapons and upgrades and thousands of side and mini quests to do. Borderlands 2 is massive and I am really enjoying re-playing it on the PS4 and will get to the pre Sequel when I've finished BL2 (although I have had a nosey on it and it does look really good). The remastering and update from the PS3 to the PS4 versions are not that mind blowing, the games don't look hugely different from the PS3 versions although there are small noticeable differences in graphics and sound quality. But saying this, there wasn't too much in Borderlands 2 that needed improving anyway, it's an awesome game. It's like what you'd get if you crossed Mad max, Skyrim and a pinch of Disney Pixar and mixed them all together. The open world landscapes are very max max like while the characters and villains are more cartoonish and the level up and upgrade systems are reminiscent of Skyrim. There's monsters, pirates, and villains galore as well as a good supply of friends and accomplices to meet throughout the games. You'll spend hours upon hours farming boss battles and collecting scrap and loot, to upgrade and improve your means and buy new and completely bonkers weapons. I'm not personally one for online and multiplayer gaming but this release does come with a 4 player coop mode and lots of online features for those who are interested. And if you have already started playing these 2 games on the PS3, you can transfer your level caps and game saves over to the PS4 version via cross save (sadly my PS3 is long gone so I had to start over again, not that this is a bad thing) Considering some of the games that are out for the PS4 and the prices that they cost for 12 to 15 hours worth of gameplay, Borderlands the Handsome collection is easily the best value game on the system at the moment. It's fun, vast, humorous, packed with action, has all the extras and DLC included and at less than £40, it's a real bargain. massive respect to 2K games for showing thier loyal fanbase such huge respect with this release, it's refreshing to see. 9.5/10 Awesome package which will keep even the most demanding gamer happy for months, a must buy.
