This is an absolutely essential addition to any spray paint project. I tried to save money on my first project and did all my spray painting by hand. Most of my projects were small such as painting a 10 inc vase or the bottom of a Mason jar. Small projects like these, especially if it's your first time spray painting can seem easy enough and you can do it by hand, but you won't notice the difference in comfort as well as evenness till you switch to a paint gun. When this arrived, I was very excited to see if there is much of a difference between hand-spray painted and gun-spray painted work. The last picture shows the un-evenness that can result from hand spray painting (a little of this is also inexperience spray painting). It took more force that I was able to get the Rust-Oleum Vintage Copper into the gun, so I had to ask for help. After a little experimentation, I found that the easiest way to get it into the gun is to place the can of paint, nozzle facing away from you on the ground (lay the can length-wise, not upright), put you foot against it to prevent is from rolling off, and then take the gun, only holding the black portion and press it into the nozzle head. With a little click, it should go it without too much force. It might take a few tries to get used to it, but it comes easily after. I recently had a friend over for some DIYing, he hates spray painting as it hurts his hand, but after trying my spray paint gun, he really ended up enjoying the process. I've switched spray paints over ten times now and the gun contraption has not loosened or broken. Overall, this is great for getting an even coat on your spray paint projects, and requires much less effort and elbow grease. Even if you are starting with a small project, this investment is well worth it for you fingers! I'm very happy with this paint gun and recommend it highly. Happy DIYing!

Cheap and easy to use! No more cramped fingers! This is really great! I always use this whenever I'm spray painting a large project. My fingers use to cramp up like crazy but never again! I bought this back in 2011 and I'm still using it till this day. It's been 9 years guys. It's fantastic. You just snap it onto your spray can and snap it off onto another spray can. I'll admit at the beginning I was scare to snap it on and off. It's still just cheap plastic and I was really scared of breaking the thing. Once you get over that though and realize it's actually pretty study it's fine. You actually get better control of spraying also since you can maneuver the can around easier with much better grip. Your grip and maneuverability always suffers as your fingers start getting tired and crampy from longer bouts of spray painting (or if the trigger/nozzle is super small or tight as some cans tend to be based on the brands). I can never go back to spray painting the old fashioned way without this gadget.

Great item. Works really well in that it's easier to point and spray than just using the can sprayer. I tried using a brand-named aerosol sprayer that did not work at all, even pressing the trigger was difficult. This no-named brand was perfect. A little difficulty attaching to the can lid, but you need a tight seal. The trigger action was easy and the sprayer stayed well attached to the can even when shaking the can. Made my job so much easier

The item was delivered very promptly and worked exactly as stated. The reason that I gave it only 4 stars was that, after using 4 cans of the spray paint, the front lip of the tool broke as I was trying to remove it from the last can. It is a very tight fit over the can top and difficult to remove. Having said that, it is highly likely that I am at fault for it breaking. The directions state that the tool is to both be attached and removed by sliding it forward and back perpendicular to the vertical axis of the can. I suspect that I may have tilted it while trying to pull it off. A minor design change to make it easier to install and remove from the can would probably eliminate the likelihood of breaking it. I have used other attachments of this sort and must state that this one is by far the easiest to use while spraying. No paint gets on your fingers or hands (unless you do something stupid) and there is little strain on your hand while using it, as you can use all 4 fingers to depress the lever and the mechanical advantage is very good. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to use a spray can, especially if it is necessary to use multiple cans to cover whatever you are spraying. This eliminates the pain in your fingertip that results from using a spray can in the traditional manner of pressing with a single fingertip. I highly recommend it, even without knowing its long-term durability. Yes, I did order a replacement unit, which arrived within a single day!

i bought this handle specifically for plastidip can spraying, so if you are using any other cans, your results may vary. ive used 8 full bottles and changed out half bottles at least 10 times. for short term usage = 10 to 20 plastidip bottles means less fatigue on your spraying hand. ive read other reviews before i typed mine and i have not noticed any loose fitting or connecting after changing out the bottles 20 times. other users may have changed out bottles much more than my jobs needed. also the type of can could play another difference. i have noticed visually there is some wear on the edge of the collar where the ring connects to the bottle. for the price, it may be more expensive than the old 2 piece plastic and spring $2.99 at your local stores and might be the same price as the comfort models at home depot or lowes but this was the perfect accessory to get the job done faster and with less soreness the next day. also-sometimes it was better to spray from the can itself without the handle, due to angles of the pieces i was working with. CAUTION: when i was dipping my car pieces, i noticed that if i rapid fire the trigger - part of my learning how to dip - i noticed on 2 occasions that my plastidip nozzle would rotate enough to cause the trigger head to push down at an angle, this means your spray nozzle will lean towards one side and it might cause some overspray. i cant tell if it was my poor positioning of my spray handle or the "comfort" grove on the plasti-dip spray nozzle. in summary, great handle, great results - just watch out to make sure your nozzle head on your spray can doesn't turn to the side in between coats. well worth the money when you get the same results, in less time and without any soreness the next day from spraying.

Broke trying to attach first can. Fixed it my way and works great very easy on the hand. We'll see of the replacement holds up any better. Seems even made in USA has no significance these days.

If you're doing a lot of spraying with a spray can, this is a must have item! This takes so much pressure of your finger, your wrist and overall strain on your arm. It grips onto the can like there's no tomorrow, so you can still shake the crap out the can and not have to worry about this coming off and continue spraying your project throughout the process without any strain to yourself. Even keeping one on hand just to make small jobs easier would be well worth spending the money. Highly Recommended item. A++
