Still a good product but price increases getting out of hand
So far I haven’t noticed a difference between the old 4oz version and this relatively new 5oz. This is only the second time I have purchased the 5 oz, having used the 4oz for many years. I can only assume they are trying this 5oz one out and will discontinue the other as it doesn’t make sense to sell two versions with only an ounce of difference. Anyway, the price keeps going up and up. I used to pay $15-20 max for the 4oz all those eight years and the last time I bought the 5oz, only 6mos ago, it was $25. Now it is suddenly $30! I will continue to pay of course as this keeps my hot flashes at bay, but it hurts nevertheless. Below is my original review. My original review on the 4oz— 5.0 out of 5 stars Effective and easy to use Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2012 Size: 4 OunceVerified Purchase After about two weeks of daily application of this estriol/estradiol combo cream I started experiencing noticeable effects including reduced hot flashes, less frequency of urination, and less vaginal dryness. I have been using one pump per day, alternating as suggested between abdomen, inner thighs, inner arms. The cream has a light consistency, is easy to apply and is unscented, although I cannot say the cream is odorless as I have a very acute sense of smell, but it doesn't bother me. I usually apply at bedtime after showering. I now wish I had started using this a few years ago. I had wanted to go through menopause "naturally", but there is nothing natural about what I have gone through during the last few years, and now (at 59) I just found out I am osteoporotic and have lost an inch of height in a very short time! I hope that I can undo some of the damage that has been done. Others have said that if you use estrogen you must also use progesterone but everyone's needs are specific to them. There is no set formula or amount that is standard, every woman's needs are unique. I don't have insurance and can't afford hormone testing so it's hard to know where to start when you actually decide to try something. I took the menopause type test on the yourhormones site and the result indicated that my progesterone level is adequate but I was deficient in estrogen, so that is what prompted me to try this product. I really didn't expect it to actually work as well as it has so far with my severe hot flashes and other problems. I will update this review after I have been using the cream for a few months. ------------------------------------------------------ Update: After using this cream for over a year I am still a bit low in estrogen but am still enjoying the relief of symptoms. I finally did the saliva testing (you can order a female profile kit for 171US (Estradiol (E2), Progesterone (Pg), Testosterone (T), DHEA's, and morning Cortisol (C)) Still expensive for many of us but nothing compared to going to a doctor/heath practitioner. There have been a couple of comments about absolutely having to take progesterone if taking estrogen, but since my progesterone level tested good but my estrogen is still low I do not feel comfortable adding a progesterone cream to my regimen as that would cause even more of an imbalance for me. I am trying to use a little more of the Biestro cream to hopefully increase my estrogen to a more acceptable level. ——-

Godsend
I have been struggling with perimenopausal at 45 for about 3 years. Because I was still having a cycle, it took 4 doctors to figure out I was perimenopausal. For 3 years I have had mood swings, depression, vaginal dryness 24/7/365, insomnia just to name a few. I have tried prescription bi est 80/20 vaginally twice a week but didn’t feel like it controlled the dryness consistently and didn’t address my other symptoms. I am on my 3rd day of one pump of this and feel 80% better already. The dryness is much better already and can’t wait to see what it will do with continued use. I am sleeping better, moods are lifting, and skin already feeling more hydrated. When I used the 1 pump in the am, I felt like it was too much having headaches and bad bloating. But when I use a quarter pump every 4 hours it delivers consistent symptomatic control. Thank you so much for developing this formula and allowing me to get my life back.

Why the 25% Jump in Price?
I've been using this product for years, along with progesterone. It's one of the few which have both estriol and estradiol so it's a good product. Have to take a star off for the stupid pump. You will never get the same amount of cream out from one pump to the next. I pump into a measuring spoon to make sure I'm getting the right amount. All of the products with pumps are inaccurate in the same way. Big jump in price since I last ordered this a couple of months ago, not happy. I've been paying $24.99. Now it's $32

Works in Boosting Estrogen For Help With Fertility
Great product, I’ve been going through fertility treatment and I get my estrogen checked via a blood test every 2-6 days for the last 5 cycles, and the cycle I started using this cream my estrogen has been up 200+% on the same Cycle days as compared to my last two cycles. No smell, not very greasy, would recommend! Also — I only use it during cycle day 3 - 14 (after period ends and until the day of LH surge) to help with estrogen levels to boost egg recruitment. Starting on day of ovulation, I start using a Progesterone cream. If you are using this prior to menopause, make sure you follow this pattern of use — do not use throughout your entire cycle unless directed by a doctor!

Good product but may cause blood clots
I take only a tiny amount in the morning and have energy all day. But I started noticing pain and cramping in a couple of places in my body (ankle, and then one of my hands) only a couple of weeks after the start of use that feel like small blood clots blocking circulation. Be careful while using and consult a doctor if you get unusual symptoms (estrogen is known to cause blood clots as it affect the blood clotting factors).
