Beautiful, strong and safe

Given the ratings, I was somewhat apprehensive as to whether or not this mailbox would work. However, in point of fact it was easy to install, has huge front and rear openings, and both the front and rear locking mechanisms work perfectly. Normally I focus on reading the one and two star ratings to get a handle on what might go wrong with a product and how frequently it happens. And, if you do that for this product you might be somewhat apprehensive about buying it. However, the four and five star ratings were pretty positive and, if things didn't work, I had 30 days to return it to my local Whole Foods which is only about 2 miles away. In point of fact everything about this box worked perfectly. It is very easy to install having ore-drilled slots in the bottom for easy mounting on a metal or wooden post (of which they also sell very secure, good looking metal posts) the box was a perfect rectangle in shape and all the corners were square and properly aligned. The front opening is large enough for goodly sized packages but the opening panel swings completely shut so once something is inside no one can put their hands in to try and steal the contents. The box is 18" inches long and 8" wide so it accepts large packages and any type of letter or magazine. It has a locked opening on the front as well as the back so if you have a gated fence surrounding your property, as we do, you don't have to go outside to open the box. The back opening is 8" by 8" so everything can be easily removed. Simply could not find a single point regarding this product that did not justify a five star rating. Great security mailbox! We purchased two of the front and rear locking ones! One for our new tenant and one for our house! They are heavy and sturdy and, if you're going out of town, they will probably hold at least 10 days of mail! We only had one problem when installing both mail boxes on the spreader and MailBoss' customer service rep rectified the problem quickly! I definitely recommend this type of mailbox if you are looking for a new one!

Good construction, easy to mount onto my existing steel pole. However, would like a peep hole in the back door. With my random US mail deliveries, don't know if mail arrives at 11am or 9pm or skipped for the day, unlocking box to see if may has been delivered gets tiresome. I will use my Unibit and drill a couple of 1" holes and cover with plexiglass, or something, for interior visibility. Would be much slicker if the manufacturer installed peephole.
