Very Happy
My old trimmer head finally gave up. I had a lot of extra blades on hand and wanted something that could use them. I ordered this not sure if it was what I wanted or not. After it arrived, I realized it was identical to my old one, just comes with some adapters and such that I did not need. These work very well. Changing blades does not require tools, but it can be a little tricky to get everything lined up and put back together. Yes, the blades wear down but if you are careful to keep them out of the dirt and away from obstacles, they last fairly well. You don't want to run it right up against things like with string. Out in the open you can really go to town with it and do some amazing clearing.

Does the job
Welp, where do we start here. So, as a typical male, I didn't read the manual first... I spent a good 5 hours trying to get the trimmer head off my TroyBilt (since mine didn't have a locking hole to turn it off) and had to talk to their customer service (after breaking part of the gear housing)... I figured the head had to come off. Finally got the stupid thing apart, then realized it wouldn't fit correct. Well, what do you know... I decided NOW was the time to read the instructions. And sure as sh!t, they weren't kidding. No tools needed. Super easy install. So after breaking my gear housing, breaking the locking washer so I could pull the head off, I had to put it back on, then simply install the new head. I guess I should start listening to the females in my life. Anyway, I tested it out some and it works good. Nailed the chain link a few times and it didn't break anything. Tried it along some wood trim (gently) and it didn't chew it apart. No more string. Thank God. Oh, it didn't come with three extra blades either or I would have given 5 stars. Unless they consider the three it comes with a bonus. I will update in a few weeks of putting it to use.

Ignore the negative reviews, best $10 I’ve ever spent!
First of all I hate doing yardwork, I fired my gardener to save money and decided to do it myself. I absolutely hate Weedwhacker’s because every 5 to 10 minutes I would have to keep pulling out the line. This was cheap so I thought I would give it a try. I almost didn’t buy it because of the negative reviews. The only thing I can think of is that these people installed it incorrectly. There are instructions for two different types of weed whacker’s straight shaft and curved make sure you install it correctly. I had low hopes for it. But after five minutes of using it on some extremely tall weeds and bush I was amazed. It just trucks through all of the thick stuff, it is extremely durable! I mean I banged the crap out of it on rocks and bricks and dug it into the ground a few times and the blades didn’t break. All they do is wear down evenly meaning that the blades just get shorter and shorter. After using it for about 45 minutes straight I have about half the blades left. I’m just going to buy more blades. I didn’t have to once fix it or anything. The blades will probably last forever as long as you don’t hit them on anything hard like rocks or bricks or concrete like I did. Don’t think about it just get it you will love it. And never go back to line again!

stock up on extra blades
The blades are not as durable as I had hoped. In fairness, I put this add on through severe paces with my Husqi, chopping blackberry, poison ivy, and virginia creepers with pent up vengeance. In one afternoon the blades were noticeably worn and dulled, but still cutting. I would probably have gone through half a spool of line in the same time. My assessment is that the cost of replacement blades should be compared to the cost and hassle of replacing line since they will both wear out. The long vines and weeds got wound up around the head equivalent to the line spool. When contacting the occasional fence wire or woody shrub, these blades really chatter and naturally are less forgiving than line since they cannot expend material on contact as easily. In the end, if you have a row of predictable medium density weeds, this head will perform better than line. But for really heavy work use a metal blade on your trimmer.

Extremely dangerous.
I bought this product and installed it on my trimmer but didn't use it until about a month later so unfortunately I am beyond the return window. I went to trim some weeds around my pond and when I hit the throttle on the trimmer all three blades flew off. Two of them were never found but the third one went through a window in my shop 40 feet away and landed in the bed of my truck. Please do not purchase this product as it can hurt or kill you or anyone close by.

Installed on Battery Operated Weed Wacker...
I installed on my battery operated trimmer. I had to use the bolt from the original, because none of the nuts fit the trimmer. Works well.

We like it!!!
We bought this and 1st checked if it fit our Murray Weed eater. (Weed eater reviews say no attachments will fit this model). Needless to say it fit. Today we tried it out. We had an incident where 2 of the 3 blades poped off. And flew away from us 1 flung about 35+ feet away took awhile to find. Husband found problem quick enough. (user error) For refrence our Weed eater has the minimum required CC's for this attachment. I was amazed at how well it worked. It took some staying in one place for about 30 sec for the inch to 3 inch brush. But the normal brush it cut through very well. I will edit this review with more info once we have seen the wear and tear and how much it takes to wear it out. I know For the price i paid, if i can get one full use out of it b4 it breaks I have gotten my moneys worth.

Product does exactly what it claims to do.. ... it is kinda practicle to see the mesh as oppose to a wire that you can't see. it's easier to target where you wanna cut! :)
