It works better than expected
I put this on my last North River boat I used primarily in salt water. After several years of use the bare aluminum still looks like new. My only issue is it’s difficult to tell if you missed any spots which will show up later as that area will begin to discolor.

Nice stuff!
I coated my entire boat with sharkhide. Time will tell, but I’ve heard nothing but glowing reports from friends and acquaintances who’ve used it. It goes on incredibly light, and goes along way. I put three coats on everything and have a third of a quart left. The aerosol didn’t work well for me on diamond plate, as it left tiny spots, around all of the raised portion. It did give good coverage, and was easy to spread out and fix with a topcoat of liquid sharkhide applied traditionally with a cloth diaper. It did work well on any smooth surface I used it on.

Protecting boat trailer
I liked that the shark went on pretty easy and it's protecting my boat trailer.

Follow the directions and get a GREAT outcome!
For a Pontoon new application. Went on very easily after I watched the "How-to" video I found. Looks great and look forward to how well it holds up. 2 coats applied. Cleaned all surfaces twice with paint thinner to remove wax put on by dealer. Washed 3 times with degreaser after thinner cleaning. Recommendations: 1. Follow directions to THE LETTER 2. Use the diaper cloth as recommended. 3. Use in a WELL VENTILATED AREA! 4. Rubber gloves are a must. I got a bit on my wrist and needed paint thinner to remove. 5. Buy the spray for hard-to-wipe spots (around brackets, mounting, and motor area) 6. Do NOT overlap on to other previous application spots. It smears. Experimented on inside of my pontoons and found all the "don't - do's" where it couldn't be seen.

Good stuff
The only fault I see with the stuff is COST! It's actually an excellent product otherwise.

Easy product to use! It’s all in the prep work
After cleaning with a 50/50 mix of water and toilet bowl cleaner and polishing with a car buffer using only “soft scrub” bathroom cleaner I rinsed and dried then applied two coats of shark hide. I followed the directions and it looked great. The boat has made a few trips in the water and no staining!
