I’ve tried a bunch of crabgrass killers over the years, but Drive XLR8 is by far the best. Living in Utah with a Kentucky bluegrass lawn, I was nervous about finding something that would kill the crabgrass without wrecking the good grass. This stuff nailed it. What really blew me away was how targeted it was. It went straight after the crabgrass and wiped it out, while my Kentucky bluegrass stayed perfect. I started seeing results in just a few days—the crabgrass that had been creeping across my lawn just shriveled up. Other products I’ve used either didn’t work or were way too harsh on the surrounding grass. Drive XLR8 hit that sweet spot. It’s selective, it works, and there’s no guessing involved. If crabgrass is taking over your lawn, especially if you’ve got mixed grass like mine, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s the only one that actually does what it promises.

This crabgrass killer worked really well for me. After applying it as directed, I noticed a clear improvement and saw the crabgrass start to die off without harming the rest of my lawn. It’s easy to apply, effective, and did exactly what I needed it to do. Great option if you’re dealing with stubborn crabgrass and want something reliable. I’d definitely use this again.

My Neighbor stated that his friend who is a Botanist told him it was no use fighting the weed that was in our yard. Claimed it wasn't crab grass but some other weed that is impossible to kill with-out wiping out the lawn. Boy did I prove him wrong. A little research and I found this stuff, it does exactly what it says. I used it to kill the Crabgrass that had taken over the lawn of the house I just moved into. Nothing else worked. This does. One treatment and the Crabgrass is gone. Regular grass may suffer a little but it recovers. I use 2 oz. of Drive XLR8 with 1.5 oz. of Turf Mark Blue (I tend to spray a little much) and 1oz of Southern Ag Methylated Seed Oil (MSO) Surfactant per gallon of water, and it is a one shot kill when it come to crab grass. After two days you can tell that the Crabgrass is turning yellow. after a week, it is dead. Mine has not come back yet. I started with a small side yard to make sure it doesn't wipe out the grass, and it did not. Due to the amount of Crab grass it's hard to see if did lose some grass, but in the end, I have a healthy crab grass free lawn. It probably helped that put down lawn fertilizer a few days earlier. To those that claim it does not kill crab grass, either your using it wrong, or your not fighting crabgrass but rather some sort of other weed.

Applied on the grass but didn’t work. Did some research and found you should add a little dish soap. Absolutely destroyed the crab grass!!! Yard looks horrible but at least it did its job lol

I’m normally not the type to write reviews, but I had to share my experience with this product. I recently spent a ton of money putting sod in my new Florida home, mainly for my dog to enjoy. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that west coast Florida soil is super sandy and doesn’t hold nutrients well—meaning it needs constant fertilizing. Fast forward less than a year and my brand-new lawn was practically dead, completely overtaken by crabgrass. I tried everything—reseeding, watering, treatments—but nothing worked. It was heartbreaking watching it all go to waste. Then, almost by accident, I stumbled across this product on Amazon. The listing seemed professional, so I figured: why not? I mixed it with water and sprayed it as instructed. No exaggeration—within 48 hours I saw crabgrass starting to whiten. I was stunned. I grabbed a rake (which I’ve done many times before with no effect), and this time, the crabgrass just pulled right up. I mean effortlessly came clean—like butter. My entire walkway, which was covered in crabgrass, I frankly didn't know how bad it was/ how much we had. This junk was suffocating my lawn, and now it’s finally out of the way. I don’t know yet how this will affect new seed or freshly planted sod, but I’ll definitely update my review after a few weeks. So far, highly recommended. If you’re fighting a losing battle with Florida soil and crabgrass like I was—give this a try. Total game changer.
