Couldn't be happier-
This item is awesome. It is a bit of a learning curve to adjust it but after a few times setting it up it becomes much more manageable. Although the zoom function is not a huge reason I picked it up, it works well enough. Actually, you do not need to adjust the telescopic tube if you just move the lens a bit further away. It is all part of the learning curve. Great idea for a product though. I've had a lot of fun utilizing this with my phone's 13 megapixel camera. Clarity is wonderful especially in HDR mode. When adjusting the camera you will want to zoom in a tiny bit to blow the image up to the screen size. But with a few adjustments this tool becomes extremely fun and useful. Whether you are a gardener who would like to look for small parasites or whatnot your plant's leaves, or an amateur hiker who likes to stop and see the smaller world around them, this phone magnifier is a great addition. It may not have an extremely high magnification but it is enough to see a world you never notice with your naked eyes. Speaking of your eyes, this is much easier for people with problems looking through monocular pocket scopes. IMO, it is better than a jeweler's loupe but not quite as magnified as a good pocket microscope. I'd rather be able to take an HD pic and view later than stressing to study things through a microscope. Much easier, and color is more clear too (taking a pic compared to a microscope) My pics include my LCD tv pixels, my eyeball, and match heads in a pack all from this scope. Hope this helps more of you on this wonderful purchase. Great cheap gift.

TRASH, made of plastic not metal like it says in the description & they won't accept returns.
It is made of plastic, not metal like the description says. I've had it a few days and realized it doesn't work easily. It's a bit of a hassle to get it work properly and when it works, it's a pain to look at things because it covers such a small area. It doesn't even look good using a Samsung phone's camera. I was going to let it go and skip this review, but the fact that they rejected me from returning saying they won't take it back got me a little upset and I decided to write this review. It's cheap in price and in quality. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM. I went ahead and purchased a jewelers loop and that works great. This item is going straight to the garbage can since I can't return it.

Great little machine and finds counterfeit bills too
This is such a cool little microscope guys this is Ted. My eyes are not as great as it used to be and I want to see something a little bit more in-depth so I've got this little bitty microscope and he goes to my phone so I can bring it almost anywhere. Nice toy. Plus if you're a coin collector or something to do with finding out if somebody slipping you up fake bill for the price you pay for it and the fake bill that you catch it will pay for itself the first time

This thing works great if you follow the instructions!
I use this For examining the tricomes on my plants to see if they are ready to harvest. I have a feeling some of the negative reviews on here are from people who don’t follow the instructions. In order to get this thing to work, you clip it onto the phone over your camera and then zoom in all of the way on the camera before putting it up to your plants or whatever you are using it to examine. it takes a few tries to get the distance right as long as you use them and you will be able to figure it out. Works perfectly and the price you can’t beat!

Don't waste your money
Update. The seller contacted me due to my review and offered a refund. This thing is terrible quality, it doesn't work right and I have to try to zoom my phone in to get it to work. Nothing but a hassle and when I try try return it they make me send pictures and then only offer technical assistance and no option to return. Waste of money. There's alot better quality versions available. You get what you pay for.

Wowzers!
Seven seconds to unwrap, eight seconds to figure out how both little lights work (Two different settings, one bright one dim and blue), four seconds to install onto the phone, three seconds to fine tune effortlessly to perfection. For seven dollars this product ROCKS! Did I put the wrong number of stars? All negative reviews are either broken on arrival or USER ERROR! I use the iPhone SE, But can’t imagine how this wouldn’t work on any phone. Just look at all the successful user photos! You must physically press the plastic scope distancing ring to the item you’re looking at or it won’t focus. Don’t forget to add the zoom from your phone to augment! Then of course you can zoom in on the photograph once looking at it later.

Gross over-estimate of power
I'm not entirely surprised that this magnifier is no where near what it claims when I only paid $7. But I have a high quality 20x jeweler's loupe and that seems to have a better magnification than this attachment. So realistically, this attachment is probably somewhere in the 15x to 20x range. Additionally, it severely restricts the viewing angle of my phone camera to where over 50% of the screen is useless. Overall, for $7, it's not bad. It's just very misleading.

Wish I Knew About These Sooner!
omg This is WAY better than having to hold one of those old timey jewelers loupes... (*looks over at mine, wistfully*) Your hands are shaking, the plant is moving around in the breeze... and you're trying to hold onto that loupe with both hands, hold onto the chair with your butt cheeks, and hang onto the plant with your eyelids, and MAYBE you'll get a quick glimpse. With one of those little handheld loupes. Yeah SCREW those! This thing? Clip it over the lens that seems to be taking the picture, then set your zoom level (on your phone, with the camera app like normal,) and after 4x and beyond this thing is most crescent Fresh, my dudes. I see those coffee brown heads. And it DOES have a white and a blue light, for using it in a grow tent where they have the grow lights on, you can adjust for that with the blue light. I have terrible eyesight, and this is a life saver!

I bought the microscope to inspect my records. It works so much good to get a close view into the grooves. Great image, easy to install, the featured light is fair enough, great zoom in for inspecting records, also I was able to check my stylus. Besides, the battery life for the light is solid I've been using it for hours. Overall, for record lovers this is a great gadget (essential) to take care of your records. Even more important it helps to fix some pops, loops, and skips (I've brought back to life some beloved records that were badly scratched when I bought them front the bargain bin). I wouldn't take a second thought to buy this microscope.

Product magnifies, but does not focus and phone will not focus through product. MAY work with tripod/mount.

Works great for checking out trichomes. Clipped it onto my Samsung A71 ( with case) the minute I took it out of package. Worked right away. Tried it on different lenses and the regular lense works best for me. For ten bucks you can't go wrong.
