anyone used one before?

Have had mine about two weeks. Instruction manual is a little flaky, but once up and running, it digs a pretty clean trench. Is not self propelled, but for the price, it does what it is supposed to do for small projects.

What is the max depth it will dig?

The OPT118 is rated at 18". I have not been going quite the full possible depth. My trenches are generally running between 12-14 inches, which is well below frost line for waterlines in southern Arizona.

How well does it do with rocks/limestone?

Hello, The trencher use is meant for soil, sand, clay base and should not be operating through rock.
