Attwood 17720 Seat Swivel, for

I bought this swivel to go on a shop stool that I built. I found this one that had a good price. Delivery was fast. I opened it up and observed the product was well painted and looked good. I noticed the swivel was extremely tight and difficult to turn by had. At that moment I considered sending it back but did not because even if it didn't spin it would work for my application. I JUMPED TOO SOON. Once I installed the swivel on my seat and sat down on it, it spins freely and works great. I guess it needs weight on it to operate. It fits standard boat seats perfectly. I plan to use more of these on several upcoming projects I have planned.

Bought this to use for a hunting stand using a boat seat with a 180deg swivel. The seat swivel I received was very tight and could not be moved by hand. I had to screw it to the bench and attach a long board to it in order to move the swivel. Much too tight for me. Contacted them about the tightness and was sent another one that was a bit more loose. Swivel seems well made and is very sturdy with heavy gauge steel. 5 stars for customer support but - one star for being much too tight.

Easy install and a great price. It has lasted very well through the first season of use, time will tell for thinking run

Esta muy bien construido

All my treestands have swivel seats, most were repurposed [scavenged] from other projects , some from yard sales etc. When my cousin Vinny ,yes,I have a cousin Vinny, everyone should have at least one, bought a new property , it called for new treestands naturally with swivels .Three treestands need 3 seats ,got them ,and 3 swivels, only have 2 ,so ,off to Amazon I went. Found a good deal from Attwood ,that came promptly ,mounted it up ,and gave it a try,and another try,and again etc. no joy. I did the twist on it, no joy, my hulking 6ft3in son did the twist on it ,no joy. I contacted Attwood directly and a very nice man said the magic words" No problem I'll send you out a replacement today,and keep the old one " .He did it worked, and is now up in a tree , the OLD one is in the garage , every so often I ask someone who doesn't know the story if he can get it to work HA !! that show is always worth the price of admission !

This is a mixed review. I'm giving 3 stars based on the fact that it seems to perform awesomely and the one I received seems to be a nice sturdy construction. Also I tried to return and replace the one I purchased because it did not swivel??? But Amazon said no need to return we will replace it. So good in the sense that they save you some time in not having to return it. But bad into it that it seems to be built into the manufacturer's end Amazon's business model that a certain percentage of these are going to be crap. If I had been depending on this to be a prime delivery because I have Amazon Prime I would be very upset if I was expecting to need it within three or four days from when I purchased it. Luckily I'm still waiting on another part that accompanies it. Summary colon assume this product works awesomely and most the time will be delivered in time unless I post something to the contrary. But if you were ordering to use within the next 3 to 4 days, be aware of the risk that you will be sent a hunk of useless metal. But they will replace it and then another 3 to 4 days
