“ The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“― InTouch Weekly Beckett, If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help. So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family. Please don’t make her go through it alone. Ryan Review: AMAZING READ! - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 STARS I was NOT prepared for The Last Letter. 😭 Rebecca Yarros really said, “Oh, you have feelings? Give them to me.” This book was beautiful, heartbreaking, frustrating, romantic, and emotional in all the ways. Beckett and Ella’s story had me completely invested, and every time I thought my heart had been through enough… NOPE. Here comes something else. What I loved most was that the romance wasn’t the only thing carrying the story. It was about love, grief, family, sacrifice, healing, and choosing to keep going when life has already taken so much from you. And that last stretch of the book?! Rebecca. MA’AM. 😭 I needed recovery time. I laughed, I smiled, I hurt, and yes, there were tears. Five stars. No question. This is one of those books that you finish, close your Kindle, and just sit there for a minute because… WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH ALL THESE FEELINGS NOW?! 😩📚❤️ Review: just WOW. - Rebecca, as always, really outdid herself with this book. The emotional rollercoaster that this book takes you on is not for the faint of heart. The amount of tears I have cried is not okay, and I’m gonna have to take a reading break because I couldn’t put this book down from the moment I picked it up and I’ve got things to do around my house lol. I LOVE Beckett. I’m obsessed with him. I also love Ella. As a mom to 2 little boys, I really felt like I understood her character even more than characters in other books because I see myself in her. Her love for her babies and the desire to protect them just really hit me hard. And the way she has lost everyone she loves and still gets up to fight a new day. I just love her. Beckett’s character is so well-written. We love a dark and broody male who will do literally anything for the woman he loves. Like can someone please come and build ME a dream house and solve literally all my problems? And then there’s the twins. Colt and Maisie are just precious. I fell in love with them and I hate that they are fictional characters because these kids are kids I would like to know in real life. This story is beautifully told and I will be emotionally wrecked for the next 3-5 business days because of this book. I’m a little mad nobody warned me about how this book ends (it’s giving Nicolas Sparks tbh) but I still loved it. Great writing, Rebecca!

warning w/o spoilers
I’ve only left a book review once or twice. This book, however, stands out as the most emotionally traumatizing I’ve ever read, even though I’ve read some truly gripping ones. I finished it over two days and couldn’t stop recommending it to everyone I know who reads. I was engrossed in chapter 7 and stayed up until 2 am, ironically stopping right in the middle. Today, I finally finished it. I was so close to DNFing it, but I couldn’t resist knowing how it ended. This review isn’t a critique of the author or the book. It was exceptionally well-written, and I loved it as much as I hated the emotional trauma it inflicted. It’s an incredible story, and the realistic portrayal of the characters makes you fall in love with them.

Soul and heart stealing
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THE LAST LETTER — Rebecca Yarros This book didn’t just break my heart. It ripped my soul out, stomped on it, and left me staring at the wall wondering what the hell I just read. 😭💔 I thought I was prepared for an emotional book. I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS. The love. The grief. The sacrifices. The letters. The heartbreak. Just when I thought my heart couldn’t possibly take another hit, Rebecca Yarros basically said, “Oh, we’re not done yet.” I became completely attached to these characters. I felt their love, their fear, their hope, and every single devastating loss right along with them. And that ending?! Absolutely unnecessary, Rebecca. I would like compensation for emotional damages. 😭 There are books you enjoy, books you love, and then there are books that leave a permanent little scar on your heart. The Last Letter is one of those books. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 soul-crushing stars. Beautiful. Devastating. Unforgettable. Read it—but don’t say I didn’t warn you. Bring tissues. Actually, bring the whole damn box. 💔📖😭

heart wrenching but so good
The story is very enthralling, characters well written, and I didn’t want to put it down. But holy cow it is SO SAD. I cried through a good bit of it, you feel so close to the people in the story and so heartbroken with their loss.

I needed a cry
This book got to me. I read it because I needed a good cry and I knew I was going to get it with this book. I enjoyed this book a lot and I did not want to put it down. Ella could not catch a break, but I was happy with the Epilogue. I did cry 3 times throughout the book, it got me good. But what a great story.

An emotional, engaging must read
I went into this book totally blind, it was one I had agreed to buddy read with some people, the author has been on my radar for a couple of years now...I don't live under a rock! But I just hadn't picked any of her books up yet. I was immediately caught up in this book, I loved the letter exchanges with Ella and Chaos and found myself smiling as I was reading them as they were getting to know each other. In the back of my mind I was trying to prepare myself for the moment when the letters may stop... clearly I didn't prepare myself enough as that had me tearing up. It was such an engaging read that once Beckett came on the scene and started developing a friendship with Ella I was having all the loved up feels and a bit of a crush on Beckett myself. This was such a compelling read it had me feeling a complete range of emotions far deeper than I expected to I smiled, ugly sobbed and literally had a moment where I was crying so hard I couldn't hold the book in my hands. It's one of those books that will forever stay with me and gave me all the feels I had when reading Bridges of Madison County and The Notebook. It was so much more layered than just a romance read, it had trauma, fun moments and devastating moments. It showed the unbreakable bonds people form through shared trauma and loyalties with strong messages about forgiveness, survival and the healing power of unconditional love, family and also found family. This will definitely be one of my most memorable reads of 2026. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ #thelastletter #rebeccayarros #pentransworld #amazon #goodreads #litsy #thestorygraph #tea_sipping_bookworm #fable #bookqueen #bookstagram

Beautiful beautiful story!
Kindle. Though I found a little bit weird to write letters to someone you don’t know, it was a beautiful story. I enjoyed it very much and shed one or two (or a thousand) tears. Read the trigger warnings because as a mother of a little one some parts were heavy and heart-breaking.
