There is also the deluxe universal rear bag that sits lower. if you could only have (1) rear bag, which would you choose and why? Thanks.

it completely depends on what you are using up front. in my case I use a tripod. I need all the height I can get on the back. if you use sand bags or something lower than a tripod go with something lower.

will this work with a lever action 22?

Yes, I shoot a CZ 452 Ultra Lux and it shoots fine, very nice bag

can this bag be used for pisttols

I suppose you can use it for pistol rest but I don't believe it would be as good as it is for rifle rest. You would have to build a platform to put the rest on to get it high enough to use it. I had to make a platform to use it with my rifle.

What is the foot print size of the bag?

It’s too big and it’s junk. It gives you no adjustability. Send me your address and I’ll give you mine for free.
