First of all, I need to say that the seller is probably the best seller I've ever gone through. Thank you to them for so many reasons. I opened the soil today to put in my memorial garden for my dog that passed away. The soil is incredible, it did not smell, there were very few sticks, very few rocks, which were so easy to just pick out because there was that little amount. No bugs. The soil is moist with the right amount of moisture. The rich color was absolutely beautiful. Don't hesitate if you're looking for soil get this brand through this seller. I'm so happy and so pleased.

When the soil is moist with the 3 part forumla underneath as the seed emerges the plants sit themselves in two parts with the roots going into the formula soil while the outer top part sits on the more dry soil area that was placed on top of the seeds as they lay there. Use a combination of Scotts Miracle Gro 100645 Fast Root Hormone, Dr. Earth 707P Organic 8 Bud & Bloom Fertilizer in Poly Bag, 4-Pound, & MG LB Bloom Booster as the 3 part formula. Place the whole 3 month supply of the combined formula at the same time in the soil have been using Michigan Peat 1250 Baccto Premium Potting Soil, 50-Pound. Place the first part the bottom soil in the 5 Gallon White Bucket & Lid - Set of 3 - Durable 90 Mil All Purpose Pail - Food Grade - BPA Free Plastic - usually get 2 sets being a total of 6 buckets and put the seeds on the formula enhanced soil itself with the second part of soil the top soil they grow through. As the soil decreases in moisture the plants are already emerged out from the seeds leaving the remaining amount of liquid content there for the forming plants with the 3 months supply of the 3 part formula already there. Start the bucket garden inside about the last two to three weeks of winter during the start of early Spring. For the beginning part the growing seeds don't need a light source when they are still emerging from the shells themselves. I have read a ton of reviews on so many potting mixes and blends before choosing BACCTO. I can definitely tell there is a good amount of sandy base to this one but also some good perlite and organic components to it. The bags were a little damp on arrival and had a slight oceanic smell to it. There were a few root cutoffs and sticks but they were few and far between...thankfully. Once I re-potted a few seedlings and watered, I can tell it does hold moisture very well without getting compacted in the process. Very easy to work with. The big question: How will my plants respond to this mix? I am hopeful. PROS: Good moisture retention, soft material, very little compaction issues. CONS: The delivery was BAD. My two 40LB. bags were in two separate boxes...yes boxes. (why not in two shipping bags?) One was leaking but thankfully, very little was lost in transit. Didn't want the hassle of attempting a return on these.

This is a good seller with great products. The soil is beautiful and rich! Excellent for gardening! I use it for outdoor veggies and this soil is perfect for getting your garden going! It doesn’t matter if you use this for in ground or raised bed. It drains well and it is healthy. My seedlings are HAPPY! I am happy!!! Just be patient with the shipping process. These bags are big and HEAVY. May come separately because of handling.

Don't get me wrong the product is great, but to me was not a good deal for the price.
