When you are at book 2 I think one should have this dictionary. Printing in this book is not that clear but managable.

Helpful tool.
Must have if you are following series Arabic Between Your Hands. When you are studying arabic you need to have a dictionary which gives meaning in arabic only, since that will speed up the learning process. This dictionary gives meanings in a simple and consise manner. You can understand this dictionary only after developing some arabic vocabulary. When you are at book 2 I think one should have this dictionary. Printing in this book is not that clear but managable.

If you have Hans Wehr you don't need this, but its a good companion to have for the learning book set as its smaller (still quite heavy though).
