Great Product!
Factory battery. More expensive than the knock-offs, but I'm willing to pay more for the factory battery for a high dollar camera. No need to worry about failure with the original and consistent charge time and charge off time.

Shipped and Sold by Amazon, and it's genuine.
Lots of concern here as to wether or not this is a genuine product. I ordered to have as a backup during a 10-day vacation, received the item and immediately began scrutinizing it. The battery, packaging removed, weighs exactly the same as the battery that came with my Sony A6000. It's stickers are placed in the same locations on the battery, in the same orientation. Put it in my camera and it powered right up, showing a partial charge. Let the camera charge with this battery while I was out to dinner and returned to a battery showing 100% charge. It's now in my standard rotation as a second battery pack, at this point I've lost track which is the one I bought with the camera and which is the backup bought from Amazon. For those of you concerned about receiving a genuine product, I can confirm that my battery ***SHIPPED AND SOLD BY AMAZON*** was a genuine product that functions just as well as the battery that was shipped with my A6000.

Better than knockoffs, but make sure it charges
These genuine Sony batteries are worth the extra cost as they last much longer than the cheap knockoffs in my experience. If you are packing for a trip and trying to lighten your load, knowing you can take 2 of these and get the same life as 4-5 others is good to know. Plus, they're reliable longer term. That said, I did receive one and it refused to charge - both in my genuine sony wall charger as well as a knock-off USB. It seems the issue could be that some of these may come so completely drained they won't come to life enough to accept a charge. The instructions even note that it could take a few tries. Well, 10 tries and I ended up returning it. The replacement worked perfectly. May be a fluke, and it's possible it was fine if it could just get a minimal base charge. (I was tempted to try, but didn't really have time to mess with it, plus, the replacement came in a day.) Otherwise I will say I'm happy with the two of these I have compared to the knock-offs. These really are better and longer lasting.

This 100% Real Battery, confirmed by a former Sony Camera salesman.
First and foremost, I used to work for "Sony Seattle Premium Outlet" before it leases was bought out by Ambercombie & Fitch. I work there for two years, I was in charge of the camera department hence I know everything about still camera batteries and video batteries for every make and model of camera. This battery is 100% the real deal. Its the same as the old Japanese built W series battery but now made in China. The reason for this is the battery used to cost $80.00 but the switch to a Chinese manufacturing shaves off $20.00. Also, the technology has vastly improved in the past few years thanks to the switch to a more uniform slightly slimmer design and YES this battery will work with your old W series charger that came with your camera. MOST importantly, take the battery out of the package and give it a complete full charge BEFORE you use it in a camera. Doing this will help to set the internal InfoChip to give you an accurate percentage reading of your battery power level. As for other Sony batteries out there. How to find an exact replacement for your old battery is simple. Etched or Printed onto the battery itself is a letter this indicates what battery is compatible with your product. For Example: W - Most Older Sony Still Cameras Nex and Alpha Series Z - Is the grandson and replacement for the W series battery, (WILL NOT WORK WITH OLDER CAMERAS THAT USE W BATTERIES) V - Is the uninformed standard for ALL Video Cameras (However the L series exist, but that's mainly used as replacements for OLD Handycams and external recording devices) M - Is used for large body full frame still cameras and broadcast field monitors. I hope this guide has been useful in helping clear up the confusion, on the legitimacy of this product.

Worked great with my Sony Alpha a6100! lasts much longer than generic batteries. Yes, it’s expensive, but I needed something reliable for long aurora borealis sessions. I used two batteries for about 2 hours of burst shooting at -10°C, and they performed flawlessly. Totally worth it!

We looked on line for a spare battery for our new camera, although the prices varied from each seller, some batteries were not the Sony make, although they tried to pass off a such, we decided to pay the extra money and take a chance with this seller, and we were not disappointed the battery arrived in good time well packaged and more important fits the camera as good as the original one and does not "rattle around" as some customers reported with a cheaper substitute. worth the money, thanks.
