Heavy duty and quality
Using this to help my son learn to ride a bike. This is not a flimsy handle, this is sturdy, well made, and a quality product. It has foam on the part that attaches to the bike to keep your bike getting scratched. The grip on the handle is a no-slip type, the handle itself is a good heavy gauge so it will not bend. This makes it easy to help teach balance while also giving the rider confidence that they can do learn to ride a bike. This handle helps keep me from killing my back since I don't have to try to run alongside the rider hunched over. I can run upright! This handle seems to work better for my son than training wheels.

Exactly what I needed!
This works great for my son. He is 3 and autistic. It was hard for us to walk all the way home after school and I was tired of carrying him the 3 blocks home, so I bought him his first bike. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of pedaling yet and really were are focusing on steering first anyway. This bar allows me to push him while he steers and also makes it easy for me to push it home after I drop him off in the morning and again when I have to pick him up. It was easy to install and is overall perfect. I am 4'11" and the bar allows me to push the bike without bending but I suspect a taller person may have to bend. But again, this is perfect for me and I can't think of one thing I would change!

Great training tool!
My 2.5 year old really wanted a big girl bike but she wasn't really able to ride and steer one herself and of course she didn't like having me holding on to the handle bars and steering her around so I needed something that would let me steer her but let her feel in control and this trainer handle was perfect! It was very easy to install and seems to be very sturdy. I am about 5'4" and the length of the handle is fairly comfortable but I do have to bend over a little. My only dislike about this product is the length. I would prefer it to be longer so that I wouldn't have to bend at all and it is way too short for my husband to push her around .He is 6' and it hurts his back having to bend over but if you are on the shorter side like I am, it really isn't much of an issue. I love that I can be behind her and help push and steer her but let her feel as though she is in total control. At the moment, her bike also has training wheels on which I know kind of defeats the purpose of the training handle but, for us, it is just what we needed. I love the fact that as she gets older and more confident, I can remove the training wheels and use this handle only to help her learn to balance and ride on her own.

The best way to teach a new rider!
This bike handle is the key to how I have taught all my kids how to rider their bikes. It’s super easy to assemble and fits to all bike types. The handle allows you to assist in balance while not interfering with your child riding. The price point makes it affordable for all. Highly recommend!

Problematic with my bike.
The main screw is 3/8 inches, the hole for my bike was 1/4 inches. Two different drills and 1 minute later the bike hole is 3/8''. Second issue. The upper plate is kept in place with a nut that does not allow the upper plate to be flush with the bike. Unscrewed the nut and now the semi-rusted screw with two plates are flush with the bike. I used the nut to actually put everything in place with a wrench. Now the butterfly nut is there just for fun (I still think that was the original intention of the genius designer who made this great product). After that I tried to fit the yellow stick and it was too close to bike saddle. Rotating the stick pi radians and the stick end is vertical instead of horizontal. This way handling the bike would become more problematic. Pi radians later I got a piece of wood and a hammer and I kind of straighten up the stick. Now is like half an inch from the saddle, the paint is a little bit chipped and probably over the weekend the stick is going to get more hammering if my boy does not like it. And I'll go to Home Depot and buy a piece of a pipe and make my own stick.

Back Saver!
This handle has made my family's life easier. We have a 12 inch bike for me 2.5 yo. She is fairly advanced and has been begging for a bike. Once she was potty trained she got her bike, well she can't figure out how to pedal yet. my husband and I have been pushing her. This handle has made things so much easier on us. The bolt that connects it to the bike was much to large for a 12 inch bike. This was not a problem at all because of the grippy clamp. We were able to tighten it enough to have a secure placement. If you are much taller than 6ft you may find it to short for you. My husband is 6ft tall and it works perfectly for him, I am closer to 5ft and find it equally as comfortable to use.

Poor quality
This item is of a very poor quality. It broke the 1st time we used it. It was easy to install and fit well on the bike, but broke after we took a few rounds on the bike. The joint (weld) between the yellow handle and silver plate that attaches to the bike broke, and on the inside i saw that it was all rusted. So this was poorly made from POOR quality of materials. I would not recommend this item to anyone!

Great product!
Our daughter needed help with learning to ride a bike but was too big for a bike with training wheels. This bar was the perfect way to help her learn. I was a bit unsure given some of the poor reviews but it works perfectly, is easy to install, and doesn’t come loose at all. I’d recommend this product.

Great for teaching kids how to ride a bike.
Easy to assemble on bike.

Needs a version 3.
Rubber gasket / clamp arrangement isn't as secure as it could be in rough conditions...stronger bracket needed so it can really be reefed down or different shape or thicker gasket....bodged it a bit and it seems to be stable now.

Works great!

Meh!
Tough to tighten and to get it to stay tight. Something other than that butterfly nut may work. Not cheap.
