The touch and hold button is really great. It only allows for just under 90 degrees of opening though. When the bear forced it further, it bent, so I just bought a replacement. The outboard connector, with the adjustable holes, will not hold over time unless you use fatter screws. The ones supplied will pull by the stops between the holes. One solution is to use the outside holes, but then there is no adjustment, so you have to be precise. Swedish company, great value for money.

I review products every day, and this seller truly stands out. The quality of this slow-close storm door latch is above and beyond what I expected. Installation was quick and easy, especially since I was replacing an existing closer and the home builder had already drilled the mounting holes. It fit perfectly and seems to be a very universal size. My previous closer rusted after only a year, and it had obvious stress points in the design. This one doesn’t appear to have those weak spots and feels much more durable and just the right amount of weight to hold a heavy storm door. The door closes smoothly with absolutely no noise, and I really like that you can adjust how slowly or quickly it closes. What impressed me even more than the product was the customer service. Professionalism is important, but genuine customer service means even more to me. On top of all that, I think this is one of the best values compared to the competition. I can’t say enough good things about both this product and this seller. When I need another storm door closer, I won’t buy from anyone else.

Don’t waste your money buying any other door closer, this thing is awesome!!! (Unless you don’t mind your door slamming at the end of the pull?) the button to lock the door is another great addition, no more trying to slide the little lock on the rod. Just open the door and push the button. Then to close it, you just push the door open slightly and it automatically unlock’s itself. The adjustment screw is doable with your fingers, and adjusts quite easily. I have only 1 single complaint about my purchase, and that is that I wish I had bought this sooner as I have wasted probably more than triple on the cheap crappy ones from the Home stores at $15/ea. Those ones had to be replaced yearly, and no matter how much time I wasted trying to keep those from slamming, (I HATE door slamming!!) I could never get them to work properly. If I have any issues, I will edit this. Otherwise, just buy it, you won’t regret it. Also it does fit into existing brackets, so you don’t necessarily need to change them if you don’t want to. Great product. Dropped right in to the existing brackets and works just fine. Very easy to adjust for proper closing speed. I replaced an older closer that quit working. Took me less than 5 minutes to install and set it up. I'm using it on a glass storm door and it's perfect for that purpose. If you're door closer isn't working anymore, look no further. Skip all the others and get this unit. Best on the market at a very good price.

I’ve had two of these door closers for a couple of years now, and both have been absolutely terrible. One closes way too quickly and constantly catches the back of your heel as you’re walking through the door. I’ve tried adjusting it multiple times to slow the closing speed down, but it makes little to no difference. The other one has now failed in the opposite direction—it won’t close at all. The hydraulic mechanism won’t retract, so the door just stays open. Having two of these and experiencing completely different failures with both tells me everything I need to know about the quality. They simply haven’t held up and have been more frustrating than they’re worth. Definitely a bad purchase, and I would not buy them again.

I received and installed this product yesterday. It works great. Even if the mechanism to hold the door stops working, this unit is a non-aggressive closing mechanism that will not slam into your arm or whatever on the way out. You can open it all the way and it gently closes unlike the previous mechanism that about ripped my arm off and my ankle. Tired of putting band aids all over myself because of a stupid overly aggressive closing. At this time everything works great with no issues. easy install.

This door closer is no smoother than any other pneumatic door closer for a screen/storm door. After watching the video, I expected this door closer to have a smooth even speed as it closed my storm door from start to latching. It did not. it swings fast for the first 3/4 of closing then slows suddenly to gently latch the door, if everything is adjusted properly. Since it was labeled smooth and after watching the sponsored video for it, I expected it to swing at the same speed from wide open until it latched without any bounce or change in speed. But three quarters of the way through it slows, bounces, and then closes, if it's adjusted properly. I already have a door closer that does that. I wanted a door closer that I could open wide and step through the doorway so that it wouldn't slam back against me before I was clear of the door. This one did not do that. This one was very disappointing.

Awesome! Replaced the original that came with our Anderson bottom closing storm door. Why you ask? Because an AMAZON delivery person decided to put a parcel in-between our storm door and main door, which caused the wind to grab the storm door and rip it open, which caused the closure to lock and get bent. At least we were able to find a decently priced replacement. I guess it is a shame on you Amazon and then a thank you Amazon.

I bought for security screen door and the mounting bracket is made to mount horizontal so it was to wide to fit where it would normally go. Had to modify the door frame a bit but worth it in the end

Works great, my screen door seems a little lighter, closes without slamming. The Sandstone colour is slightly different, but hardy noticeable.

This item was, in my terms was expensive, however the quality is very good. Installation was very easy (instructions were great). It works great. So, in the end it may have cost more than I liked but it is worth the extra spent..
