This is a good strop, good quality and it was delivered quickly!
I ordered this to use to strop my knives with. The product that I received came to me rolled in a coil and it arrived without any flaws or issues in the leather surface. The length of the strop is 20 inches from the top of the leather to the end of the leather handle. One side of the strop is very light tanned leather and I will leave it that way as I already have a stropping board I made and one of the areas is coated with buffing compound. I will use this leather strop as a cleaning strop for the blades of my knife and the light tan side for the final polishing side of the strop. I use the suede side of the strop to clean my knife blades before the final stropping. The strop did not come with an eyelet ring but it has a looped hook for hanging and to be honest I like the hook I got better. The strop is 2 inches wide and I have no issues stropping my knives including my Spyderco Manix 2 Xl with a 3.88 long blade. The quality of the strop is excellent for the price and it works well. After a few minutes of work with my stropping tools my knives are razor sharp. I liked the strop so much I purchased another one for my son as a gift. This is a good product and I rated it 5 stars. It is good quality, it was delivered sooner than expected and the price is reasonable

Not for Ninja Mall Warrior Swords!
If you think you're going to strop your Ninja Mall Warrior swords, this strop is not for you. If you want to put a nice razor edge on knifes up to about 5 inches long (Longer once you've developed the technique) then this is an excellent choice. The actual working surface is 2 inches by 16 inches and is well made using very good materials. Some reviews state that it has a bent nail for a hook and that is true, however it is an 18d nail and is chromed and well shaped and much stronger than you may have been lead to believe. As a long time sharpener and collector of knives (over 60 years) I can say that this is a bargain for the price and when used properly and taken care of, will last just as long as strops costing 6 times as much, you just don't have as large a surface. What I do recommend is that you purchase an old leather belt to use with your polishing compound and then use your strop for the final cleaning and finished edge. After using the belt, I use the back (dark, rough side) of the strop to actually clean the blade and then use the lighter smooth side for final touch up. Woodstock D 2901 extra fine is a great compound to use. I also recomment you watch some Youtube videos and get a little practice in on an old cheap knife. You'll quickly get the hang of it and develope a little muscle memory in short order and sharpen your knives like the pros. Store your strop indoors in a cool dry place. Yep, I recommend it!

Decent quality.
Good starter strop. If you decide you're into shaving, you will probably want a bigger one. Mine seems to have a natural curve in the leather, which is a bummer. It's not completely straight. Thus, 4 stars. It works. If it's your first strop, you'll probably gouge it a few times with your razor. Might as well cut up a cheap strop before buying a fancy one and ruining it. The leather is nice and thick with sturdy stitching and the metal hardware is good quality. I have no serious complaints... but the curve in the leather has me eager for a higher quality strop. I'll buy a better one when I think I'm skilled enough to not destroy it. ...I actually think it looks pretty nice too. It just hangs around and I don't even notice it. A strop is something that doesn't actually take up space because you're probably just going to keep it hung on a sturdy counter or something. It becomes a fixture. A tool, almost like a vice. Actually, mine hangs on my vice- bolted to my computer desk. Heh, it's a vice accessory.

Made of assortment of cheap materials but over all, it works wonder!!
This is my first strop and I have nothing to compare. It is made of mixture of natural and man-made materials. For the price, for its functionality, you can't beat it. It's not all made of leather(although it looks like it and fooled many people in here) and it's not a bad thing. Only leather used is one side of the strop(lighter color side), darker side is synthetic(I have to say it's a good material for the purpose). Both ends are made of synthetic leather, which makes no difference real leather or man-made. In a wet condition man-made probably is better. Hook is made of nickel plated nail, (yes, ordinary nail, even with a head to prove it) and it's functional. I just got this and I can't tell you about the durability just yet. Even if it starts coming apart in 3 months I will know what else to get from leaning by this and the price that won't make me regret. If it lasts, say for more than a few years with good result, I'll be glad to replace it with another of the same. I'd recommend it to anybody if the functionality is more important.than looks.

My strop had a couple imperfections so I had to return it
I am giving this leather strop 3 stars. The one I received had a 1 inch cut in the leather side and a 2 inch dent on the suede side. Both imperfections were in the middle, right where your razor slides. The strop seemed to be of decent quality otherwise. I returned it due to the imperfections and decided to get a different strop that was longer. This one is 20 inches including the handle and the eyelet. I ordered one that was a little longer, 24 inches.

The item is quite good. Would say that it is probably more suited for a barber shop kind of stuff than for what I bought it (Strop my kitchen knives), but it has worked quite well for me. I use one side (the one that has little hair) with some buffing compound Woodstock D2902 Extra Fine Buffing Compound, 1-Pound (Green) and the other one I keep it clean for the last few pass of the knife.

A quality premium strop that has so far served my daily carry fixed blade nice well. Still need to get some compound on the strop to work it to it's full potential... But a really quality build....

Not the most premium strop but it is solidly constructed and does a good job at honing blades of all kinds. I use this with my kitchen knives, as well as a straight razor.
