TORTILLA Soup Mix 8.8oz (3 Pack)

This is a great soup mix. I ordered it from Amazon when my local grocery switched to another brand that I did not like as well. I have tried quite a few tortilla soup recipes and soup mixes over time, and nothing beats this. I get compliments on this soup all of the time! I add about 1/4 cup chopped cilantro, 1 cup of chopped cabbage, and 2 cups of cooked chicken to the mix while it's cooking. This hearty soup freezes well and tastes even better the second time you heat it. Friends always ask me for the recipe when I give them this soup while they are down due to illness or surgery. I love being able to tell them it is a mix with just a few additions. Anyone can make this soup successfully, because it is so easy to do that a novice can look like a chef.

But alittle pricey

This is the greatest soup mix. Just add it to 8 cups boiling water, stir, and in 15 minutes you are ready to eat. I love the Tortilla soup flavor, it has spices and beans. I usually serve mine with a little sour cream added ( to thicken) and top with tortilla chips. It makes your whole house smell amazing. You could throw in some shredded cooked chicken to make it more of a main course. Really yummy- hide the bag and impress your guests.

I've loved this particular soup since my kids were in H.S. in Texas over 10 years ago. I moved the the Washington, DC area and could not find this particular flavor from Bear Creek. This is the best Tortilla Soup and very easy to prepare. Please, Please, Please bring them to DC and VA stores. Quick delivery and packaged carefully. It arrived in great condition and just in time for this Polar Vortex weather we've been having. Thank you.

Great mix but too highly priced. I would not order if I had to pay shipping.
