Browne Foodservice (746061) 8" Polished Tin Spring Form Cake Pan

I bought this pan to make the cheesecake recipe from the excellent BraveTart book by Stella Parks. The recipe called for a particularly tall 8 inch pan and this was the best I was able to find. I have never made a cheesecake before nor had I ever used a spring form pan. Despite my inexperience, the cheesecake turned out great. The pan performed well, the cheesecake did not overflow the pan and I did not have leakage issuesThat said, the metal is rather thin and I already have a couple of small dents on the side of the pan. I don't expect this will cause any issues, but might be worth noting for others.Hopefully I will be able to get many more cakes out of this pan.

These extra deep spring form pans make great cheesecakes, but they aren't built all that well. The bottom has a diamond grid that makes it almost impossible to remove if you don't use parchment paper liners. The spring form ring is a really flimsy tin coated steel rather than stainless or anodized aluminum. The pans dent very easily. Having said all that, I haven't found anything as good for making a good thick cheesecake.

Just what I wanted to make my homemade cheesecake. Now it does not bake over the lip as with a 3" high springform pan. This is higher. But you must wash and dry immediately to keep from discoloring and rusting since it's aluminum, and it is delicate so handle with care.

Wish it was a little sturdier metal, but height n width r perfect.

a little light weight and had a couple dents in them when I opened packages but they seem to work good...would have liked them to have been a little heavier though..

After using this item I found it to be an Inferior product didn’t work well and it leaked badly so it became a garage sale item really a total waste of money.

This was the perfect size for the recipe that I made. It worked great.
