Simplicity
Very easily installed on the bike stem. Most bikes will require removing the stem lock bolt but I did not have to do that. My handle bar is secured to the stem with a lock plate and 2 small hex head screws arranged vertically. The bracket was secured to the lower hex screw. The lamp was popped open by pressing on the release screw, 2 AA battery installed, and the light went on by turning the black switch on top. It was a breeze. The polished silver finish matched my handle bar, so the whole set-up was nice and functional. It sure beats the original vintage lamp which requires all sort of wiring linked to the dynamo. I kept the dynamo on to retain the vintage look.

NOSTALGIC & VERY BRIGHT (LED's)
This really is a very Cool light. It's also Bright. The Mounting Bracket wouldn't fit my bike so I had to make a bracket that would work. The one thing I Absolutely Love about this light is that it is Very Nostalgic looking. And Hey! You Can't Beat The Price!

Needs to be brighter but gets the job done.
Ordered this "Retro" headlight in black. It definitely looks retro and fits with the style of my beach cruiser. The build quality and finish of the light exceeded my expectations. I'm giving it 4 stars because for having 7 LEDs, I figured it would be brighter.

Great looking piece
I am currently working on an electric trike conversion and am gathering parts. One thing I need is a headlight. Most bicycle headlights work very well being LED but look very modern. This is not what I want. The headlight I wanted is retro, chrome, round lens and bullet shaped. This one fits the bill Plus it is also LED. How perfect. I can't say anything about function at this time since it will be a while before I will be using it. Until then, this does look perfect. Will update when in use.

Not vintage looking enough, but works with rechargeable AA batteries
Unfortunately, this was not vintage enough for a vintage bike restoration project. The chrome color and lights in front are plastic and though it has the same shape as a vintage light, it doesn’t really look like it’s from the 1970’s. It was hard to open, but it did work and turn in with rechargeable AA batteries. I would say it is useful for someone who wants to use rechargeable AA batteries in their light, but not for someone who wants a real, vintage product, like the dynamo lights they had on vintage 70’s cruiser bikes.

Broke After Three Uses
Installation was kind of wonky, but easy enough. It's hard to open the front latch, which is a good thing for riding around, but I should have seen the red flags when I was installing the batteries in the first place and the actual housing was a thin plastic that bent out of place as the batteries went in. By day 2, the flip switch wasn't turning the light on. I figured the batteries were defective, so I went to swap them out and then it DID turn on when I was about to replace them. I used it one more time after that, at which point I reached my destination and found the light had turned off during the ride. When I opened it up at home, the batteries (brand new Duracells) were swollen enough that the wrapping had broken on them and acid had corroded the connectors. They had been installed for literally 6 days. The build quality is also pretty flimsy and constantly rattled when I was riding around. I tried tightening all of the connectors, but could never get it stable. Even the flip switch to turn it on always felt loose and never really stayed in place.

Tin? Aluminum? Not plastic 👍
Son of a gun is actually metal not painted plastic, matches your typical alliminum handlebars. Way better than the 8 dollar ones and comparable to the fifty dollar models.

The switch sticks in a way that don't seem right. Had to force it pretty hard and felt like it was going to break. Almost returned it due to that. It seems to be okay, now after forcing it a few times, not great. As far as mounting it you just need one (generally M5/M6) screw and you stick it in where the front fender would go. Pretty much every bike has a place there for it, it's no big deal regarding mounting hardware as some have complained, it comes with what you need aside from that screw. I also added a few extra washers. Bright enough I guess, but haven't actually turned it on much to try it in the pitch dark yet. Looks great.

Good looking light for cruiser bike, not as bright as I had hoped. Makers should post lumens rating instead of just the number of LED's.
