This is a very simple and sturdy tripod, lose a star because it is too short. The interface cannot install the platform, otherwise it will better.

Reasonable tripod for a reasonable price & Holds at least 5kg=10.5lbs payload
I bought these as travel telescope mounts for AZGTi & a Solar Tracker of the same design. They require a flat head design. Set one (of the two I bought) up and mounted the Solar Mount Lunt 50mm double stacked with Omegon Redline 8mm/13mm lenses (separately) and a fan cooled camera. No signs of stain the adjustment knobs for azimuth lock and height lock when used firm up the mount well. It is not as "solid" as any of my actual telescope mounts but then they don't collapse to fit in my carry on luggage - important feature for me. The vibrations were not horrible or unpleasant for viewing but are noticeable in video mode. So, don't touch it and its okay. I really like the built in bubble level it was a selling point as that is critical for my mounts to track correctly. Everything worked out well! they don't get super tall but I like to sit in a chair when I am viewing so I knew that wasn't a problem. Also, I have the factory mount extension if I need to get it to standing height. I did need an adapter screw to go from 1/4 to 3/8 inch mounting screw. (I saw that coming and ordered appropriately.) Over all it seems like a reasonable tripod for a reasonable price. They definitely hold more than one pound! The larger scope pictured weighs 10 pounds with out the Mount, Herschel Wedge and eyepiece! There’s probably 15lbs on there! I have the center column raised for comfortable viewing and it’s still doing fine. In the pictures the feet look adjustable but actually the pads screw-retract to expose points that can dig into dirt for secure footing. Hope that helps.
