I have "brand" name electronic lock on my door that I spent well over $100 for. I wanted to get my parents one, but wanted to save so money so I tried this one. I am so mad that I spent the money on my "brand" name one. This lock is great. Pros: It looks very nice. I purchased the satin nickle and it adds a very sleek look to the door. Very easy to install and program. Honestly it took about 8 mins to remove the old lock and add the new. Super easy to use. Punch in your code and it automatically unlocks. To lock, just push one button. Cons: (Not really any, just a few observations) The part of the lock on the inside of the door is large. It take up about 8 inches on space on the back. If you live in a humid climate, like I do you may have to pull the doorknob when the lock opens and closes due to the wood swelling. The lock won't lock or retract if it hits resistance. Overall I love this lock. It looks great, works well, and is easy to use and install. For the price you can't beat it; in fact Amazon could raise the price (please don't) and it would still be worth it. I will be buying more and putting them on all my exterior doors.

Installation went OK, though the clearance is really tight on the striker plate. If you don't get the plate exactly opposite the deadbolt, it will bind and have trouble locking. My real problem/frustration came with the programming. There a couple of things the instructions don't tell you: 1. When deleting the default user code 1234, I had the door open and the deadbolt retracted as the instructions tell you. After deleting 1234, I tried that code, to make sure it was deleted, and the deadbolt came out! I thought the code had not been deleted. After MANY tries, I finally figured out that when you enter an invalid code, the deadbolt always comes out (locks). The deleted code will not unlock the door, but it will still lock it. I guess this is a "feature," but I wish they had told me. 2. When you enter a user code to unlock the door, then press the lock/unlock button, the door unlocks. But when you close an unlocked door, then enter a user code and press the lock/unlock button to lock the door, the door does NOT lock. You have to press the lock/unlock button a SECOND TIME, then it locks. I spent a lot of time figuring this out. Wish they had told me!

I just finished installing this combo lock and it's working but I can't say it will last. The lock has the features for which I was looking and the price was good but it had some flaws that I repaired. First, one of the two long machine screws that hold the main pieces together would not screw in all the way. Upon closer examination, I discovered the screw hole had not been threaded thoroughly. I had a metric 5mm tap so I fixed that problem. I finished installing the lock and when I commanded the lock to extend the deadbolt, it extended but kept on trying two more times with a popping sound in between. It worked better when retracting but never on extending. I thought this can't be right so I removed the lock from the door and opened the back cover to reveal the mechanism. It uses a cam and two micro-switches to sense the bolt's position. One of the micro-switches had a bent lever arm that was simple to straighten. I put it back together and reinstalled the lock and it now works as expected. I decided to keep the lock and see how it performs. Hopefully, if there are more issues they appear within the 30-day return period. I intend to add more to this review after I've used it awhile. Even though I like the lock for it's features and ease of installation, I gave it one star because quality control sucks. I considered just returning it as soon as I ran into the first problem but whose to say the second one would be any better and I would have to change out the locks several more times. To be fair, other brands seem to have their own issues after reading their recent 1-star reviews.

Been using it for a month now and it’s been working great. Installation was fairly easy. Programming is a little odd sometimes. Some entries have to be done with the deadbolt “locked/engaged” and others have to be done with it “unlocked” and it can be confusing to remember which is which. Other than that, the lock itself seems to be good quality.

It is very easy to install and it made life so much easier. even my kids love it and can use it and makes us feel safe.

We ordered this lock to replace a key deadbolt on our people access door for the garage. Installation was straightforward and all of the parts fit in the existing door cutouts. There was one "gotcha" though that caused me to have to take the lock apart after installation. The rectangular rod that extends from the key cylinder through the deadbolt to the electronic lock can spin 180 degrees. If you don't have it oriented correctly during installation, the installed lock won't work. In particular, you might not be able to remove the key when the door lock is open. The electronic lock won't work at all and you will get "3 beep" failures. This is all due to the fact that the rod was installed in the "locked" orientation when the deadbolt is in the "open" orientation or vice versa. Disassembling the lock and spinning the deadbolt solved the issue. This is probably not a feature of this lock but of all deadbolt cylinders. I just don't install very many of them.

This lock works great, easy to install as it is retrofitting another deadbolt I had on the lock so no drilling needed! A good idea to check the backset centre of hole distance before installing, I had to remove the backseat after I installed it as it comes preset at 2 1/8” centre & my door hole centre was 2 3/4”.

Es super fácil de instalar si ya lo haz hecho antes, sino solo sigue el manual y listo. Usa 4 pilas doble A, programar hasta 10 códigos, y en mi caso active la opción de cerrado automático (default dd 30 segundos pero puedes editarlo y poner de 10 a 99 segundos). Le doy un 10, compre la garantía extendida de Amazon por otros 35 pesos, así que contento.

Es una solución económica y funcional, Perfecto para tener un acceso rápido sin cargar llaves… no es difícil de instalar y tampoco es tan difícil de configurarlo, solo se deben leer las instrucciones! El estilo es clásico, buen terminado, si buscas una solución premium invierte más dinero
