Oil it after washing to prevent rust. It’s iron, iron rusts.
Love this. It’s so cute it’s on my stovetop like a decoration. I’ve used it in spaghetti. Idk if it added iron or not but easy clean. I rinsed and washed with dawn. The rust reviews are from lack of oiling it. Like all iron pans you need to oil it after washing it or it will rust. Iron rusts. I just added olive oil put it on a napkin for a bit and dabbed extra oil off then put it on the stovetop to be cute. No rust.

Cute and practical
I love this Hello Kitty Iron Ball. Super Cute. かわいい Kawaii! Delivery's is longer than Amazon Prime, but it comes from Japan and cheaper than other seller. So if you are not in hurry, this is worth the wait. I was interested in Japanese Iron Kettle, but they are expensive and hard to maintain without getting rust. The kettle is very heavy and takes space in small kitchen. So this iron ball is a great solution. 気軽に鉄分補給できるので買ってよかった(^^) 日本人のお友達にプレゼントしたい。

Changing color but no rust
I heard using iron cookware, you can easily increase your iron intake. But iron kettle is too heavy so I bought this． I think it works very well. I use it when I cook rice or boil water. And above all it is cute!
