Enjoy this classic collection of 50 songs by The Ink Spots, now digitally remastered for optimum listening! Review: Beautiful remastering of music from 40's and before. Love it. - Amazing collection. I've about worn it out playing it dozens of time. Such a wonderful CD. Review: Music you never tire of, has wonderful melodies and words you can remember that tell a story. - I love these CD's. I think their songs tell wonderful stories, the choice of words is outstanding.I first found them in my parents collection of records, probably, 72years ago, then bought them with my own money as a teen, and now in my 80's needed a new format and bought them again. Unfortunately, i misplaced one of the cd's and at this great price decided to buy it again. I never get tired of listening to them , and when I'm alone, I sing along. They never get old-just beautiful melodies and great words.

The Ink Spots - iconic singing quartet of the 1940's
We love the songs by the Ink Spots, they were unique and unparalleled - great iconic songs such "If I Didn't Care", "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" are still regularly being used as background music for famous brand TV commercials (Mercedes Benz and others)

Enjoyable
Terrific voices, music from 'yesteryear', sadly, "old" sound quality. A delight, even f it's not 'crisp.'

While this is titled The Ultimate Collection - if you check wikipedia this is pretty much in near same order a chronological trip through the Hit Singles of The Ink Spots from the breakthrough If I didn't Care (still one of the biggest selling physical singles of all time) through to songs that were by that time pretty much just Bill Kenny under the name of the Ink Spots. There is at least one other more complete collection I own , though that is missing 16 or 17 songs from this collection with one different version, and mostly Bill Kenny on lead vocals (Deek Watson songs tended not to be the ones released as singles) but don't let this detract from the experience. This is just 50 of the 264+ songs they were known to have performed, although not all were recorded, and only just over half have been released on CD or digital format. This is a fantastic collection of songs from a the Ink Spots who were inducted into the RockNRoll hall of fame for good reason. I started listening to this after a few songs featured in Fallout 3, I have ended up trying to find as much of the music that is available in digital or CD form, and this is an essential part of this. There are times when listening to this can be hard, purely due to the fact you are listening to beautiful music from performers who have all left us, especially the last few tracks recorded with Hoppy Jones before his very untimely death in 1944 aged just 42 a few hours after collapsing on stage while performing with the ink Spots . This is a good start for a new Ink Spots fan, or someone wanting to go back to their past and a better collection than many. If you have heard a few tracks over the years and like what you hear this is very worth the money to explore more of the music of one of the biggest acts of the early 1940s.

What a singing talent these guys were! It's pure pleasure to listen to them. The quality of the discs is outstanding. It's hard to believe some of the songs were recorded 80+ years ago! Even though most of it is before my time, I'm truly enjoying their works.

Llevaba tiempo buscando algo de estos genios y por fin he dado con la colección definitiva. Un verdadero acierto de compra si te gusta la música vocal, el doo-wop y a nostalgia.
