No.  Not a Chromebook.  This is just a keyboard alternative to a type cover for a Surface Pro.  you need to buy the Surface to attach this keyboard to.  A Windows 10 device.

Has the issue with the hinge applying too much pressure to screen been resolved?

I have been using the keyboard for about 3 years now with no issues. The package comes with several silicone pads that are relatively clearly marked for the various versions of Surface Pro, but the best way to ensure that the hinge does not apply too much pressure is to make sure you have the right version of the keyboard for the Surface Pro you are using. For example, the keyboard for a Surface Pro 3, like I am using, will crack a Surface pro 4 since the Surface 4 is slightly thicker. Make sure you get the correct keyboard for your model and it shouldn't be an issue.

For the record, I have been using mine daily 5 days a week for a long time now. At first I was concerned with the reviews I saw where folks were showing their cracked screens. I am now convinced by literally thousands of times opening and closing mine, sometimes carefully, sometimes not so carefully, that the problems people are having is that they have the wrong size hinge mount pad for the computer they are actually using. Be careful about which silicone pad you are using and you will be pleased with the result.

Is this compatible with a case like moko case fit microsoft surface pro 7 grey/pink?

I would read the moko tech info, I connected to surface pro 3, they are in the potifiolo that came with surface.

Try Incase product or Case Logic : I have sleeve that fits then i put the sleeve in the incase.
