Why is the bottom part getting so hot? Hanging in open socket. Al the heat means it is wasted energy. Other led bulbs are not getting so hot.

This is a 12V bulb. Not a 110V bulb. 12V is battery power not household electricity at a much higher voltage. If you are using this in your house at 110V, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS!!!! This is meant for RVs, vehicles, battery operated appliances, not standard house electricity at much higher voltage. It could also be that you have the wrong socket for this bulb. Turn off electric switch, clean inside of socket with dry cloth on a stick (not bare hands), and try again. Make sure socket is right type.

My 1 light is now not working. I got them in Sept. 2029. How do i get the bulb replaced?

Yes, it could be used in 12V outdoor fixture, the lifespan maybe shorten if the bulb was used in enclosed fixture.
