Great replacement 03 Ram
Perfect replacement case for my 03 Ram fob. Fit perfectly and replacement was an ease. Great price and fully compatible with OEM fob chip. You need to swap over battery holder but very easy to do. Looks and works great.

Worked Perfectly
I dropped my keyfob from my old 2002 Dodge Durango and the top cracked off. I did a superglue temp fix, but knew I needed a replacement. So far, I could not be happier. I feel like the plastic is slightly lighter, so I will update the review as far as any changes in durability. In general, installation is a breeze. You pry open your old keyfob. The keyfob board MUST be in working order, as this is just the housing you are buying. NOTE: The same company does sell a whole keyfob for about $28-30. You would need a second ,working keyfob to program the new one. Anyway, once you open your old keyfob, carefully remove the contents. On a Dodge keyfob, you have the two C2016 batteries, a thin plastic overlay, and the original rubber 'Unlock/Lock/Panic' overlay. Next, carefully pry off the battery terminal from the old keyfob. It is usually held down by a tiny plastic raised pin that is part of the keyfob body. The next step is to insert the battery terminal into the new keyfob. Then insert the 'Unlock/Lock/Panic' keypad, then the thin plastic overlay. Last, insert the board and the batteries. The last step took me a few minutes. I was trying to be careful with the board and it was a very tight fit in the new rubber housing. I snapped the two halves of the new keyfob together, and it worked perfectly. The new buttons do see more rigid to press. That may also be that the old overlay was 18 years old and well broken in. Either way, it is a different feel but it is not like I have to press more than once or press very hard. the buttons just feel harder to the touch.

Assembly required.
Key fob arrived timely, looks great but should have come with an instruction. The metal battery contact did not come with the new fob so it needed to be transferred from the old unit to the new but there was no instruction or indication that that needed to be done. Once transferred and assembled the fob works good.

My Bad
I need to read the fine print better. I thought it was a complete replacement not the case. My Bad. I am going to keep it for back up in case mine ever breaks or wears out, after all my 1999 Dodge Caravan Spost is 27 years old. It still runs great as it did new. They don't make them like they used too. Everything still works. As for the case I will give it a 5 because it is what it is & I can't complain about it.

Not constructed well wnough
I have used all 3 that I purchased, and all three have failed in the same way. First off they do not mention that you have to remove a metal battery connector from the original remote and that it is very thin, then install it into the new one, but if you bend any part it will not fit, It is press fit in the original with some tension wings that bend when you remove so make sure you bend them back into place. With the battery clip transferred and hopefully working it is time to move the actual PCB controller board, taking it out of the older one is fine, but getting it to sit correctly in the new is difficult as it appears the original silicone is thicker then the one provided, so either fight with fitting it and run the risk of it not fitting or switch to the much thinner silicone the new one comes with and it's easier to install and close the fob. Now after a couple days maybe weeks you will find the back has cracked on the end away from the loop for the key ring. The failure point has been the same for all so that tells me there is something wrong. No I do not keep my keys in my pants pockets where they might be crushed. I have attached a couple pictures, one shows the metal battery connector you need to move, then there are 2 marked with indicators or what I think is the culprit. One of the 3 plastic battery retainers in the back of the replacement FOB is the site where all broke and showing an outward bulge. If the plastic case was thicker and better able to hold the original silicon covering and not require surgery to transfer it might be a better product.

'99 Jeep XJ - Great replacement shell. Battery terminal can be transferred from old case...
Bought a '99 Jeep Cherokee Sport which had broken/worn fob. The keyring was broken, the icons were well worn from the rubber, and the case was filled with 20 years of "user" lint, etc. It worked fine, but needed a new case. For $7 I figured I'd give this one a try and have overall been really pleased with it. Probably should mention that your old remote needs to be functioning properly for this to be of value to you... Removing the Battery Terminal from Old Case: As many other reviewers stated it DOES NOT COME WITH THE METAL BATTERY TERMINAL in the back of the case. But, this metal terminal clip is not glued down in any way and is pretty easy to remove (pictures included) with a pin or tip of a knife (careful). The metal piece is only held in place with two small tabs near the plastic "pin" coming from the back of the case; gently pry those away from the case and it can be pulled out (mine actually sprung out of the old case). If it is slightly bent it can be pushed back into shape. Ideally the manufacturer would've included this part but, again, $7... Once the terminal is removed it pops right into the back of the new shell. The rubber section with the buttons is considerably thicker than the original and has a lot less give when pushing them. Almost feels like you're not pushing them at all, but the remote and vehicle respond. Works great. Case is still new to me so I can't speak for long term durability, but the plastic on the version I got feels close to the same thickness/strength of the original. Hope this helps! I was a little skeptical at first due to the lack of batter terminal, but figured I'd give swapping a go. Glad I did.

Excellent replacement option. Works great!
I'm so excited to have my key fob back for the truck we just rebuilt. During the accident my truck was in the ring on my original fob cracked and we needed to order a replacement fob but the dealer price was way to expensive of an option. We rebuilt this truck from the ground up and have been watching out pennies during this process. The key fob was the replacement fob case only for our 1999 Dodge Ram. The fob shell came partially opened upon arrival. Very simple to remove the old chipboard and batteries from the old fob and install in this new fob shell. Installation took all of 5 minutes. Button are easy to push and everything synced up no problem. No need to pay the dealer re programming fees, just use the inside of the fob you have and install in this shell. The only thing this fob doesn't have is the 'Ram" that was molded into my original key fob. Price point is excellent and high quality materials. Very happy with this purchase, I purchased this item full price. My opinions are my own and I was not compensated in any way for my thoughts. I rely on product reviews just like others to help make my purchase decisions so I try each product very carefully before reviewing and always do my best to leave honest opinions and provide as much facts as possible based solely on my experience.

Exactly As Advertised.
My current key fob shell broke, so this was perfect for me. I still had the electronic parts, just needed the shell. I'm giving this a good review because it was exactly as advertised and works well. To the folks who gave negative reviews, read the description, it clearly states electronics not included.

Good option to renew a working control
The only complain I have is the back of the case, on the battery slot it didnt come with the metal that connect with tge electronic board, so I had to use the front and rubber with the back of my old control.
