How many pulses per gallon (PPG) is this meter?

Can you reset it to zero?

Dear customer, No, DAE MJP-75 cannot be reset since it is a revenue grade meter. Revenue grade meter will prevent someone who is being billed with the meter from resetting the data and so not being charged for their full usage. In order to reset the reading and monitor remotely, lots of DAE customers purchase Electronic Pulse Counters CO-10 ($38 only, www.amazon.com/dp/B071XDGWF9) or CO-10 KIT (www.amazon.com/dp/B07TYT92LL) which will be connected to DAE MJ-75 (www.amazon.com/dp/B01IZ522M0). Does this meter work in a vertical position with the flow from the top to the bottom?

DAE MJP-75 should only be installed in a horizontal position with the dial facing upwards. For installing vertically with the dial facing upwards and water flowing downwards, please refer to DAE Positive Displacement Water Meter PVM-75 (www.amazon.com/dp/B07CZ9TMLK) which will be able to be installed in any position, vertically or horizontally, dial facing upward or downward or horizontally, water flowing downward or upward.

Water meter

It's ok for the money, but the gallons reading on the meter gauge is hard to understand. The instructions read like per gallon but it reads like per 100 gallons. We bought it because we were told that we had a water leak from our water department, but we could not find one. Had to wait like a week to see the gauge to register water usage. Seems to work ok but wished it would sow each gallon going thru it.

Not as advertised (updated)

Did not include the 3/4” couplers. The nuts/ gaskets were missing, no way to connect the orphaned components to the meter. Update: Upon notification of the issue seller sent out the missing parts the same day, 3+ months after the order date. Rating upgraded to 4 stars: parts should not have been missing but seller's resolution was excellent.

Most outdoor spigots are male. This did not include any adapter to attach to my outdoor spigot.

This product did not include a spigot adapter necessary to attach to garden hose spigot, which has a male thread on it.
