Riedel Veritas Cabernet/Merlot Glass, Set of 2

These glasses are amazing! They're second in the Riedel line only to the Sommelier Grand Cru's. They are just as delicate too. You must treat these and all Riedel glasses as they are - top of the line wine glasses. They are light, they are thin, and they will break if you put them in a dishwasher or wash them with too much pressure by hand! Think feather..... Don't listen to the troubled, angry souls on other reviews that broke theirs. They're just salty that they broke on them.

Gorgeous cabernet glasses. My husband and I absolutely love these. Beautiful shape enhances the profiles of your cabernet. A word of earning, though... if you are clumsy, these are not the glasses for you. They are so thin, the slightest bump against anything and they'll shatter. For the price, I wouldn't recommend.

Riedel Veritas are the best wine glasses I’ve ever owned! The thin seamless stems are incredibly elegant and the thin bowls enhance the wine’s nose and palate. They feel light and balanced in your hand (everything else now feels clunky). We’ve had them for years and have never broken one. We wash them in the dishwashers and occasionally by hand. I don’t understand how people think they’re fragile, just treat them like what they are — an investment in your wine enjoyment.

Person I got them for drinks a lot of wine and really likes these glasses. Feels like quality when holding and drinking from and has held up well. I have broken a lot of wine glasses while cleaning/drying and these have been holding up well. I would purchase again without hesitation.

I use the glasses for drinking wine. My evaluations above (durability/thickness) are not criticisms--the glasses are as they are supposed to be. One just has to be careful not to break them. They were delivered in perfect condition but I do think they could have been shipped with more around them other than just their retail box and a shipping bag. However, I may be wrong about that because, perhaps, the box is designed to protect the glassed to the extent that extra packing material--or any packing material--is not required for safe shipping. That was the case here.

These beautiful glasses were destroyed because they were improperly packed. No packing peanuts or bubble wrap, just thrown in a box. These are lovely glasses that look delicate, feel wonderful in the hand and are actually fairly durable. However, you cannot throw them in a box and expect them to arrive intact.

Excellent multi purpose red wine glass. Improves the aromatics of the wine. Very delicate for everyday use.

Ich habe nach einem eleganten Weihnachtsgeschenk für meinen Bruder gesucht und bin mit den RIEDEL Veritas Gläsern fündig geworden. Zunächst habe ich im Laden ähnlichpreisige Gläser von RIEDEL, Schott Zwiesel, und Stölzle vergleichen - für RIEDEL Veritas habe ich mich im Endeffekt aufgrund ihrer Dünnwandigkeit und hohen, klassich-eleganten Form entschieden. Der Schwerpunkt der Gläser lässt sie auch befüllt angenehm in der Hand liegen. Duft und Geschmack des Weins entfalten sich ausgezeichnet, wobei ich diese nicht mit den andere Gläsern im Laden vergleichen konnte. Die Versand war rasch und problemlos, die Gläser waren ausreichend geschützt verpackt und sind heil bei mir angekommen. Keine Einschlüsse, Unreinheiten und kein Wackeln. Riedel makes really nice wine glasses but need to handle with care as they break quite easily.
