Good to have in medicine cupboard just in case.
Instructions on packaging. Apply boiling water to poultice (on plate is easiest) allow to cool enough to apply cover with plastic to seal water in, secure with bandage. Designed for horses, works on other animals including humans!

great purchase and reasonably priced. ideal if you want to dress hooves without having to cut to shape.

Not just for horses
I actually cut this down and used it to treat a sheep with a hoof abcess- it worked a treat and got rid of it within days! They are precut patches that you can put water on to make them moldable to the hoof. I used it with a tube bandage and some vet tape to keep it in place. Would definitely use again- way cheaper than a vet, and one happy sheep!

Cheaper to buy the usual size ...
Nothing wrong with this, but you'll find it is cheaper to buy the usual large piece and cut your own pieces from that.
