I'll be super honest. The reviews from others that gave sandmarc 4 stars or less is on point. Here's why. When I received my pole I was super stoked!! I thought this thing was solid. Best quality ever. However, when I attached my gopro it was a tad loose. Loose where it'll fall forward or backwards depending what you're doing (ie. water sports). It sucked cuz now I have to put paint tape inbetween the mount where the gopro & the pole connects. It helped for the most part but I have to tighten the hell out of it! Long story short, through ware & tear of super tightening... The mount finally broke. I've super glued it & it worked fine just as long you don't connect the gopro. I thought about twisting the mount off from the pole but it wouldn't budge. So before I try to force the mount off, I've emailed sandmarc to inquire if they have replacement parts or if they can help me fix the issue. I sent them a picture & a video of what part of the mount was broken. This is where SANDMARC should have 10 stars instead of 5. Right after sending them an email, I received a reply just like that within 10 minutes!! Here's the break down of why they should receive 10+ stars. We've communicated via email. Apparently, I have the old telescoping pole. The defective mount was a glue on & they did not have a replacement. They told to me that they're sending me a brand new telescoping pole & for me to send back the old one. I did have to pay for the shipping & handling for them to receive the old one but, I'm getting a new one!! 3 days later, I got my new & improved solid telescoping pole with a twist off mount. This mount is more solid because this one isn't loose at all compared to the defective mount. The pole is still the same. SOLID! A couple of days later, they've emailed me to see if I got the new pole. Like so, the customer service that I've received this year was the best so far. The transaction went smoothly with no headaches whatsoever!! It's crazy, this pole is a lot cheaper than all the glamorized big branded name poles. Its durability of this pole is up to par if not better than it's competitors. Why would you want to pay more just because of a brand name? Save your money & still get the same quality as the big branded names poles. Buy SANDMARC products. FYI I'm not an employee if sandmarc. I'm Just spreading the good news experience! Any issues.... Contact them before complaining!!!!

Qualitative stick that is alive for 11 years. Not only it was used for shooting in the nature, but also was used as a splint for my arm after moto accident, also used it as a trekking pole while hiking - it withstands all such activities. Yes it is rather expensive, but is sturdy enough for this price.

Awesome GoPro pole!!!! Great quality and made out of good materials and doesn't seem like it break anytime soon. Came fast, but the first one I received was slightly damaged with a few chips and scratches in the paint that normally wouldn't bother anyone, but me with my OCD, and was a little disappointed. I contacted SANDMARC and requested a new one not expecting to receive a new one, but SANDMARC was super nice and responded to me in the same day telling me a new one was on its way and that they would pay to ship the damaged one back to them. I didn't expect such nice customer service but was pleasantly surprised. The product is awesome and I used it in Scotland when I went Coasteering, which is pretty much jumping off of huge rocks into the freezing waters of Scotland. I got some really cool shots and the product is super easy to clean. They say that when you use it in salt water you should rinse in out with fresh water. The entire pole came apart so easily and nicely for me to clean the whole thing out. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a GoPro pole.

I bought this pole just in time for my ski trip to utah. I got to do some extensive testing with this pole and I am happy with my purchase. The pole is pretty light and its size makes it very portable, which is something I really wanted. I was able to fit This pole in my travel bag as well as my day bags no problem. It's all metal design is very nice and it feels sturdy and durable. I didn't have any problems when I was using it and all of the locking mechanisms seemed to work fine. The only problem I had with this pole was the tripod mount it comes with. It's all metal which I thought would be great, however I learned that no matter how much I tightened the housing to the mount, the camera would still wiggle A little bit. It didn't turn out to be a huge deal for me because I was able to screw on a standard gopro tripod mount to the pole and it worked just fine. I noticed when tightening the mount that the telescoping pieces of the pole themselves would move, but I think it's because I was trying to crank it down too hard. Overall I think it's a good pole. If you're torn between all of the gopoles out there like I was, you can't go wrong with this pole. It's suitable for practically anything for the price without sacrificing quality of a good pole.

Seems like a great pole! I have brought it on one trip with me so far and it has been awesome. The tripod mount on mine was snug and to very easy to use. I previously got the x-shot, which would get rusty and stick together and broke within 2 days of my traveling. This pole is worlds better and although it does not compress to as small of a size, it is much more worthwhile. So glad I got this sandmarc pole :) Update 12/1 - I just have to add that Sandmarc has absolutely amazing customer service. I read on some other go pro pole reviews that they could not get a hold of the company if anything went wrong. I had a problem with the screw on my Sandmarc pole, and upon emailing them, I heard back within the same day. They truly care that you have a good experience with their product and will always do everything to make sure it works correctly. This is definitely a must-buy because you can feel safe that they will stand behind you if anything ever goes wrong!

Good and sturdy pole. But The grip came off while i was snorkelling. Was able to get a hold of the go pro but lost the grip

Eerdere goedkope sticks begaven het telkens bj het veelvuldig duiken. Deze stick gehaal van aluminium is super degelijk. Enige wat iets sterker had kunnen zijn en wat ik vermoed het eerst zal gaan begeven is de lus aan de onderzijde. Dit is na heel veel intensieve duiken nog steeds niet gebeurd, maar in mijn ogen wel het zwakste punt.

Avevo acquistato altri prodotti del genere ma tutti, chi prima e chi dopo si sono rotti o arrugginiti. Questo, anche se c'è da dire è un po' caro, vale tutti i soldi spesi. Sull'apice c'è il classico attacco per GoPro in alluminio, (compatibile con tutte le GoPro) quindi non abbiate timore perché questo non si romperà, a differenza di quanto potrebbe accadere con quelli in plastica. L'attacco si può comunque svitare tranquillamente e rimane la classica vite standard dei treppiedi su cui potrete attaccare la vostra macchinetta fotografica o videocamera che presenta il tipico foro nella parte inferiore. Pesa circa 270 grammi. PRO: E' un prodotto interamente in alluminio, solido e regala una buona sensazione di robustezza quando lo si tiene in mano; E' impermeabile e resistente al sale quindi si può portare al mare e fare le immersioni; Il manicotto in gomma rigida presenta un ottimo grip (tenuta) sulle mani, presenta inoltre un laccetto da legare al polso per non farselo sfuggire. Gli anelli d'estensione si stringono bene e non fanno slittare i prolungamenti. Corpo interamente d'alluminio e robusto. CONTRO: Nessun contro degno di nota.

Bought this specifically for my upcoming wedding and honeymoon after watching some reviews online. I was initially concerned as it doesn't list the Hero 9 as compatible but it fits no problem. Given the build quality which is awesome it's still fairly light. I plan on using it for snorkeling too and the extra length over the gopro 3 way will be a massive bonus in getting close to the action. All in all I'm very pleased with this selfie stick and can imagine it will be used a lot and last a long time.

This is excellent. Great for skiing, underwater work and general use. Sturdy, even when extended fully; easy to use; great value for money, and easily transportable. Best accessory for the Go Pro I’ve bought.

Aufgrund unseres Urlaubs in der dominikanischen Republik waren wir auf der Suche nach einem qualitativ hochwertigen Selfie-Stick für unsere GoPro, da uns in vergangenen Urlauben günstigere Modelle oft enttäuscht hatten und nach kurzer Zeit den Geist aufgaben. So stießen wir aufgrund der vermehrt positiven Rezensionen und Meldungen in Foren auf den Selfie-Stick von Sandmarc Pole und waren mehr als begeistert: _______________________ Positiv: + Die Verarbeitung des Selfie-Sticks ist wirklich grandios. Der Gummigriff, als auch die Schlaufe, welche man zum ''Zuschnüren'' nutzen kann, bieten sicheren Halt. Dies haben wir unter extremsten Bedingungen getestet - zum einen auf einem Speedboot, als auch auf einem Buggy & Quad bei gut 80 km/h. Zu keiner Zeit hatte ich das Gefühl die Kontrolle oder den Halt zu verlieren. + Selbst bei ausgefahrenem Zustand kommt der Selfie-Stick als sehr stabil und robust rüber. Es sind keine übermäßigen Verwacklungen oder Verrutschungen der Stangen ineinander zu verzeichnen. Es bleibt alles an seinem festen Platz und bietet somit eine optimale Video-, als auch Bildaufnahme. + Die Reinigung verläuft als absolut problemlos. Reinigung? Da wir eine Buggy & Quad Tour in der dominikanischen Republik an einem regnerischen Tag machten und durch etliche Pfützen und kleine Bäche fuhren, blieb eine Verschmutzung des Sticks, als auch der GoPro nicht aus. Wir hatten dahingehend erst unsere Bedenken, doch kleinste Sandkörner, als auch Verschmutzungen waren mit einem Waschgang ein Teil der Vergangenheit :-) absoluter Pluspunkt ! Die Scharniere verzeichnen kein lästiges Quietschen durch die Sandkörner. Auch sind nirgends Rost oder sonstige Macken zu verzeichnen. + Das Ein- & Ausfahren stellt auch keinerlei Probleme dar. Dies ist weder schwer gängig noch ruckelig. Wir hatten erst unsere Sorgen, dass wir den Stick durch das ewige Ein- und Ausfahren abnutzen würden,in Form von Abnutzungen und Kratzern, aber nichts davon zeigte sich in der Praxis. + Die Fixierung einer GoPro 4, als auch GoPro 5 ist problemslos möglich - keinerlei Verrutschung, ober aber Verwackelungen, da diese durch eine Rändelschraube und einer Mutter straff fixiert wird. Dies lässt sich wunderbar wieder lösen - sowohl im Wasser, als auch am Lande :-) _______________________ Negativ: - Einziger Kritikpunkt, den wir wahrnehmen konnten, ist, dass die Schlaufe zum Umfassen des Handgelenks wertiger sein könnte. Diese hat eine kleine Plastikklammer zur Fixierung. Diese war jedoch schon bei Lieferung defekt und somit für uns unbrauchbar. ___________________ Fazit: Alles in allem kann ich den Stick nur jedem empfehlen, der einen wertigen Stick für seine GoPro sucht. Einwandfreie Verarbeitung, schlichtes und dennoch elegantes Design. Gute Fassung durch Gummigriff + Fixierschlaufe. Wir sind überzeugt - der Selfie Stick von Sandmarc Pole konnte sowohl unter Wasser, in Matsch und am Strand in voller Linie überzeugen. Für den Preis ein absolut wertiger Stick und für alle Actioncam-Fans zu empfehlen :-)
