McFarlane Toys Halo 2009 Wave 2 - Series 5 Equipment Edition SGT. Avery Johnson, UNSC Figure

I just recieved this product tody. I had this pre-ordered way in advanced because he is one of my favorite characters. And I was dissappointed. As soon as I carefully removed him from the packaging his right popped off at the shoulder. While it pops back in, it can still easily come out. And guess what happened when I started to work the stickiness out of his left arm? It popped out as well. This is a very serious concern for small children. Shame on you McFarlane toys. He does have a pistol on his right thigh, which a nice addition and you can put it in his hand. There is nowhere to store the Spartan Laser on him however. So my final overall rating is 3, especially because of the arms popping off.

Came as described, and on time. Another Halo figure to add to my Gran Daughter's collection. Something she can enjoy for many years to come!

Great figure, well made and great detail. It would be cool if he came with the cigar he is usually seen with. The face looks perfect as well as does everything Todd Mcfarlane makes. The figure is very pose-able just like the other halo figures that have been released. Over all this is a great figure to have in your collection.

His arms can't bend to the correct angles, and so he has difficulty holding the Spartan Laser. Give him some other weapon (e.g. assault rifle) to compensate. Still, this seriously limits playability. As for his legs, you'll find that his ankles aren't very articulated--a problem with ODST and Elite figures as well. The pouches on his belt come off very easily, though thankfully they can be glued back on.

I was excited to get this until I opened the package, the figure itself is not that flexible and for me t is cheaply made as apposed to other Mcfarlane Halo products because the pistol he comes with does not even fit in either of the figures hand. It is still awesome to have because I am a Halo fanatic and SGT. Johnson was a must have for me. In my opinion it is not worth the price but a decent product

I bought this and within two seconds of taking it out of the package the right arm popped off. The figure looks cool with pretty good detail but is almost impossible to stand up. Comes with the spartan laser and a pistol neither of which you can really get him to hold. I have few of the other figures and the quality is better but not awesome, i wouldnt recommend this particular one at all.

what can I say Sgt Johnson is just one good looking guy. He is smaller then the other Spartan halo 3 figure but that's just because he is human so remember that when buying. Also it all good because he's big in other areas.

Well let’s start by saying that this is the only scale figure of Sgt Johnson (Major character in the games) that you can get for the McFarlane Halo figures. First off it’s a bit small, like small even for one of the normal Marines if a Spartan is supposed to be about 7-8 feet tall, this guy’s 5’5 at most. But that aside as I said this is the only one you can get. The Figure itself is quite detailed and it carries a Spartan Laser which is an uncommon weapon and it also comes with some equipment thing which is not really much use unless for display. I have only one major issue with my specific purchase, that the right hand fell off very easily, I still can’t quite work out how, as it does not appear broken, so I think I may be able to repair it for my son... hopefully. Other than that there is little more to say, this figure regularly carries a higher price because it’s....well you know by now it’s the only one you can get. It’s therefore considered rarer, but shop around for a price under £35 including postage and you won’t get it much cheaper. Certainly a figure though which MacFarlane could do with redesigning and re-releasing?

I would have rated it a 3 to 4 star but when I opened mine his head came off as I popped it out of the packaging, I will now have to glue it
