This is my second unit that decided to "freeze". On/off switch won't work. Unplugging from power source does nothing. Anyone else experience this?

Never...mine unit works beautifully for over 2 years

This has a CE key to void last entry, why does it not have a C key to clear out all previous work, how is that done?

The same keys does both. Press once for Clear Entry....to delete that last item entered. Press * (total key) then CE to clear everything. Or press CE twice.

Does the clock and date remain on or is it auto off. Is there contrast control.

No contrast control and no clock display that I am aware of. Number display stays on.

How do you enhance the red/black print? Mine is getting very light. Is there a ribbon? Cartridge?

I would suggest buying a new ribbon either at Amazon or Staples. There are many different ribbons out there that look alike so be sure you have your calculator model # with you.
