I have been a Rick Ross fan but never a die hard/hardcore fan. This book shared a lot of great information and explained a lot of things that had been twisted by the media. The honesty, ownership and absolute hustle the Teflon Don speaks about in this book is a real eye opener. It was very interesting to see the behind the scenes stories and information not fully known to the public. I have to take my hat off to this man for sharing the good, the bad and the ugly - all of the behind the scenes documenting his trials and tribulations in this book. The amount of determination and ambition is something extremely admirable. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Rick Ross, hip hop, business or learning life lessons. A reminder that great things can emerge from life's storms.
Purchased this about 6 months ago and finally finished after a few delays. I have been a Rick Ross fan but never a die hard/hardcore fan. This book shared a lot of great information and explained a lot of things that had been twisted by the media. The honesty, ownership and absolute hustle the Teflon Don speaks about in this book is a real eye opener. It was very interesting to see the behind the scenes stories and information not fully known to the public. I have to take my hat off to this man for sharing the good, the bad and the ugly - all of the behind the scenes documenting his trials and tribulations in this book. Excellent Memoir
Truly enjoyed reading this memoir while recovering. Insightful, thoughtful…excellent way to put the pieces to the puzzle together. New level of respect.

Loved this Memoir
I am not a huge fan of rap, but I loved this memoir. The title of the book is a metaphor for Ross's life : the trauma and the triumph. Everyone who has been down and out at times ( aka all of us) should be able to relate to Ross's story. His perseverance, discipline and focus in the face of adversities is to be admired. I finished this memoir in a day.... the style is engaging, genuine, and straight forward.... as if Ross is sitting down and and having a conversation with you. Highly recommend!

Nice insight into Rick Ross
Good read. I seen this deal and thought I would get it. Honestly, I enjoyed the book. I am not the biggest Rick Ross fan but I do plan on listening to more of his albums after reading this book. He gave insight into some of his songs and told of his beginnings in the rap game. It was a nice read.

Loved this book... Could not put it down once I started. It's insightful, intriguing and very motivating for continuing to move towards your goals and believing in your dream no matter what it looks like. Putting in the work without reaping the rewards can kill a dream but this book shows you what it means to keep the going. Every day I'm hustlin! What a story!

Took you in his world for a few
Good read. Told how he struggled as a youth, how the system screwed his dad which changed his dad. It was so good it felt like you was there in time!!I wish he would of named the pictures ,this pictures at the end had no captions, so you didnt know who was who
