Great replacements, very long, very bright, fits my XDs
Fit my Springfield-Armory XDs perfectly. Very well made so that you don't have to get extensively close to the filament to balloon the tip and lock it in. This is better because you end up with a much cleared filament in the end. Of the set of colors, green is by far the brightest. The orange is the dimmest. Red trails green only by a little and the others are just a mix between the red and orange in the power.Simple installation, simple working. First remove the old one by cutting it some how and pulling it out of both ends. Be careful to not destroy your front sight because it will look bad! We don't want that. Next, use a flame or heat source to balloon the bulb slightly at the end, at this point, I didn't cut anything off. Be careful to NOT touch the filament to your heat source or it will cook the inside of the filament. This will cause clouding, and that basically means that light will not travel through it, and rather than an fiber optic that gathers light and sends it to the ends, you are looking at green plastic sights. Don't do that. After you balloon one end, slide the whole filament, still uncut myself, into your sight hole. Mark a small amount over the edge of the sight mount. I used about 2 mm or so, it doesn't have to be large, just enough to provide material that will fill the whole once ballooned. You can score the filament at that point, then remove it from the sight. Give it a little more cutting in the score and you should be able to bend and snap it at that point. A flat cut is most unnecessary, when you heat that side it will just round off anyway. Again, not touching the filament, reinsert the filament and balloon the second end, thus locking the filament in place. If it has a little wobble, apply ever so much more heat and do so patiently, or just let it go. Finally, look through the filament and ensure it is bright and not clouded. Then, you are done!Oh, and I didn't say to clear your weapon to start this thing, but if you don't do that and end up dead, you really shouldn't have a weapon in your hand anyway.

Brightest Fiber Optics Iโve Used Yet
I bought these TRUGLO HighโVisibility Replacement Fiber Optics to refresh the filaments on my Dawson Precision sights, and Iโm seriously impressed. These are by far the brightest fiber filaments Iโve ever used. Even the Dawson Precision fibers donโt compare โ TRUGLO really stands out here.Installation was easy, the visibility is excellent, and the upgrade made a noticeable difference. Iโm very happy with them and will definitely keep using these from now on.

Nice bright fibers but there's always a clown in every group lol
Ordered these instead of cheaper ones because Truglo has a great reputation in the sight industry. They are bright as expected and I knew they would be. I must have gotten a mistake package because the one color orange I was really looking forward to trying ended up not fitting. Instead of being .060 it was .0625 after I tried to check the rod fit and ending up whipping out the calipers to verify it. I tried the other rods and no problems. I'm not gonna bash Truglo because mistakes happen and they make great stuff. I'll most likely send them back and try another package. I'm always up for a good laugh especially when stuff like this happens to me lol.

Easier than replacing the entire sight
I have a rifle with a Marbles sight which originally had an orange fiber optic rod. My eyes don't work well with orange and I was looking at replacing the entire sight with another one just like it but with a green rod when someone advised me that I could just replace the rod instead, something that was news to me. So I bought this product to change the color of the rod. This replacement pack from Truglo has different colors of rods from which to choose in the event you want to try something different or aren't sure which color you would prefer. Their light transmission property is excellent. Held vertically in a heavily shaded area, the ends glowed as if they had an internal light source.I had never done something like this before and was a bit apprehensive about attempting it on my own. However, it turned out to be faster and easier than I expected. After removing the existing rod, I cut off a length of green rod, approx. 1/16" longer than the opening in the sight, with a pair of scissors. Then, with the rifle turned on its side and held in a vise, I inserted the new rod in the sight, leaving a small amount protruding on each end. Using a cheap butane cigarette lighter, I held the flame near each end of the rod without actually touching it with the flame. This caused the end of the rod to form a domed end which prevents it from sliding out of the sight. That's all it took! It couldn't have been easier. Two words of advice here though. First, make sure you order the correct diameter of rods as Truglo makes several different sizes. I measured my existing one with a caliper first. Second, when using a flame to melt the ends of the rod, be aware that it takes very little heat and happens fairly quickly. If you get the flame too close or hold it in position too long, you can distort it too much. For anyone who needs to change the existing fiber optic sights on their gun, this is a cheap and simple way to do it without changing out the entire sight and I would highly recommend this particular product.

Dishwashers. Yep, undercounter dishwashers.
A fancy kitchen remodel ends up with appliances covered wood like cabinetry, running stealthy silent electric motors you can't hear from a foot away, and dim red-LED warnings that the appliance is running/is on/is done.Hmmm. But you can't see that LED glow under the overhang of the counter and there's no way to get a LED to the front door of the dishwasher because: the designed paneled it and that's not where it is anyway. However, if you order this little packet, cut and then polish the rods with fine grit sandpaper (and some people say a lighter)--and then tape/secure them in a row under the counter lip above where the LEDS glow...bingo.You can see the glow as long as you set up these light tubes to bring the glow to edge of the counter. Amazing. No more disrupted dishwater cycles.

Nice and bright
I used this to add fiber optics to the front sight on my Walther PPK/S .22 with a suppressor. With the suppressor, you basically have to sight "through" the suppressor, and the black sight can get "lost" in the black suppressor end. The front sight is plastic, so it was easy to drill the hole and cut the light window. Turned out nice and works great. This kit has enough rods to do plenty of sights, and having different color options is nice so you experiment with different ones for different guns and light conditions. I also used some on my Sterling MK-IV with an aftermarket sight. Really helps make the front sight more visible.

It is what it says!
Ordered this from India. It is very expensive for this kind of product and I guess it is because of shipping charges. It took 15 days to dispatch and deliver the product. Both the green and the red ones are very reflective. It does what it does.

Not as pictured by very high quality.
Not at all what is pictured, read the description carefully before purchasing. The photo shows multiple sizes and colours but what you get is a Truglo 1 mm replacement pack. Two yellow. Two red. One green. They are very bright and high quality but not the assortment or amount pictured. I accept it was my responsibility to read and not buy off the description so I didnโt reduce my score.
