Simple and hydrating
This beta glucan moisturizer is a nice, simple hydrating serum I’ve added to my routine, and it works well as a supportive layer alongside my other skincare. I use two topical medications to help manage rosacea, so I’m always careful about what I layer underneath them, and this has been gentle enough that I haven’t had any issues with irritation or sensitivity. The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving any stickiness or residue, which makes it easy to layer under moisturizer or medication. It feels more like a calming hydration step than anything heavy or occlusive, which is exactly what I want in this part of my routine. Looking at the ingredient list, this is a very minimal, hydration-focused formula. It is built mainly around humectants like glycerin, butylene glycol, sodium PCA, and beta-glucan, all of which help draw water into the skin and support moisture balance. Beta-glucan is a standout here because it is known for being both hydrating and soothing, which fits well for sensitive or reactive skin types like mine. Adenosine adds a mild skin-conditioning effect, and the rest of the formula is essentially there to stabilize texture and delivery rather than act as “active” treatment ingredients. Overall, this feels like a straightforward, no-frills serum that does its job well: keeping the skin hydrated and comfortable without triggering irritation. No Fuss Moisture Retention / On My Third Bottle
I am on my third bottle of the Beta-Glucan Power Moisture Serum because I love it that much. While I'm not prone to breakouts, I have sensitive, combination skin where I'm oily in my T Zone and dry everywhere else and also have rosacea. This serum has never agitated my skin and seems to really help with my moisture retention. I use it twice a day have a very minimal skincare routine consisting of toner, this product, and sunscreen in the morning or moisturizer at night. I love how lightweight it goes on and doesn't leave my skin feeling tacky, plus it plays well with other products. It's a small bottle but it lasts about 3 months using it twice per day so I feel like it's pretty cost effective compared to other serums. This is a very no fuss product if you're someone looking to heal or maintain your skin barrier and improve moisture retention!

Game changer - great on its own or mixed into cosmetics
This is a great hydrating serum to add to your skin care routine. It is quite thick and a little goes a long way. It doesn’t leave a residue and it plays well with other skin care products as well as makeup/sunscreen. As someone else mentioned it’s not as “life changing” as some of the claims, however it can also be used to add moisture to other products. I have a favorite sunscreen (Australian Gold light) which happens to be matte when it drys. At 57 with some fine lines all it did was highlight those no matter what primer or moisturizer I used underneath. The color (it doubles as a BB cream) is perfect for me because it has slightly pink undertones. I wanted to move away from my foundation routine and have a more “natural” look. Finding a hydrating replacement was impossible. Knowing beta glucan is added to many skin care products to enhance hydration, I decided to experiment with mixing a ratio of 40-50% beta glucan to my sunscreen to make it more “dewy”. I mixed a small amount in a little “tester jar” I had. After thoroughly mixing, it set overnight to ensure the ingredients meshed together. (I first tried this in my hand and it took awhile for everything to come together so it was homogenous). The next day I applied it to my skin and had exactly what I wanted. A silky light to medium coverage sunscreen that left my skin looking slightly dewy, but not greasy. Once it set (was no longer shiny), I applied a bit of blush and that was it. It set up leaving me looking natural - not overly dewy. It also had enough coverage to hide unevenness in my skin tone. It also doesn’t highlight my fine lines as much- only slightly under my eyes (which at my age comes with the territory). I also use this as part of my AM and PM skincare. Layering it with HA and my vitamin C serum. I will also use a bit before using my CosRx masks to add a bit more hydration. I usually spray my face with Eue Thermal mineral water before applying the beta glucan (or any HA product), then apply the mask. Overall, it’s a great option for anyone allergic to HA or wanting to boost their routine. Will it perform miracles? No. But it is a great booster. Using it in some of my cosmetics took some trial and error, but I’m really happy I tried it. So the purchase based just on that was worth it to me. Depending on how you use it, it seems to last a long time. Updated Comment 3/2026: I’ve been using this serum as part of daily my “skin flooding” routine. It’s kept my 59 year old skin looking plush and healthy. My fine lines aren’t as noticeable and the routine is easy, affordable, and all available on Amazon. I cleanse (I do a double cleanse when I’m wearing the Australian Gold BB Cream/Sunscreen), perhaps use a toner, spray my face with Avene Eue Thermal Mineral Water (or leave wet), apply the Beta Glucan Serum generously (2-3 droppers full), let it set for a minute or so, apply either Vanicream or CeraVe Intensive Moisturizer. If I’m going to be wearing makeup I will then apply my primer a minute or two after letting the moisturizer set (which will further reduce moisture loss), then apply my sunscreen/BB cream. I’ve also worn my P. Calm Sunscreen (which is amazing, BTW), over the serum after it has absorbed a bit on days when I’m not wearing makeup.

Good moisture booster
For reference, I’m in my early 40s with combination skin and perioral dermatitis which causes painful inflammation around my nose and mouth. I’ve been using the matching Iunik Beta-Glucan moisturizer with this for over a year now. I only use this serum during the winter months when my skin feels less oily or anytime it feels drier than usual. I add a drop or two to the moisturizer, mix, then apply. My skin loves it. Non-greasy, not sticky, and no excessive shine throughout the day. I’ve used it alone as well after toning and no sticky feel. Now, I haven’t seen any real anti-aging results, but it has helped soothe my irritated, red skin. Adding Azaleic Acid cream to my routine has made a huge difference as well for my dermatitis. This serum is a part of my daytime routine. I use something stronger that targets wrinkles and uneven skin tone at night.

Very Moisturizing
I love this serum, it’s lightweight and good for my combo skin. It’s also great if you have sensitive skin like fungal acne, and it’s fragrance free and has a very light consistency and dries down nicely.

Better than hyaluronic acid
This stuff is a GODSEND. I have combination skin but suffer from very bad dry skin around my mouth and cheeks. Hyaluronic acid couldn’t cut it but THIS DID. I’ve had this for a year now and it’s still my favorite. I use it every morning and evening, and it has no fragrance to it. It is worth every drop.

Noticeably Smoother, More Hydrated Skin
Great product for dry skin! I can definitely see myself purchasing this again. I’ve been using it on my face before bed, and I’ve already noticed an improvement in my skin’s texture and overall appearance. My complexion looks more even, and my skin feels smoother and more hydrated. I’m still figuring out how often my skin responds best to it, as I don’t want to overuse it or risk clogged pores. Everyone’s skin is different, so I’d recommend paying attention to how your skin reacts and adjusting your usage accordingly. Applying it to the areas that need the most hydration has worked well for me so far.

Hydrating Serum, But the Dropper Falls Short
I really enjoyed this serum! It has a minimal, clean ingredient list and leaves my skin feeling deeply hydrated with a healthy, glowy finish. It layers well with the rest of my skincare and never felt heavy or sticky, making it great for my dry, dehydrated skin. The only reason I won’t be repurchasing is the packaging. I wish it came in a pump instead of a dropper. My skincare routine is usually quick, and because the serum is thick, the dropper doesn’t pick up much product at a time, so I had to go back in multiple times. If they ever switch to a pump, I’d happily give it another try.

Super hydrating
I have very sensitive skin and react to a lot of things. This serum has caused no irritation and has offered incredible hydration. Always apply it to damp skin.
